Had a strange conversation with my sister in law, a doctor, on sunday.

She told me to inform my doctors and midwife that both her children were at the 95th percentile when born. Should I be concerned that ashe had issues when she is 5ft 7 and I am only 5ft 2? Anyone else in a similar situation and worried?

To be honest I doubt they will do that much about it if it is your first. I found out at about 40 weeks last time that DH's family have a history of massive headed babies. Nobody I told (hospital / midwife etc) was in the least bit interested. DS was badly positioned and they couldn't turn him with forceps, because of his massive head (39.5 cms)! (Sorry, don't want to scare you). They have been a bit more interested with no 2, and I have had growth scans etc, but only because it's my own history now (if that makes sense).

There are lots of other genes that your baby could have though, it doesn't at all follow that it will be big too. DC2, although looking generally quite big, seems from scans to have a very normal-sized head!

I don't think it necessarily follows.

I had exactly the same worries as you. I also have a family history of whoppers (11 pounders). My dad has such a massive head that he has only ever in his life found one hat which fits him. My head is also quite big.

Then dd was really tiny - only 6lb. (Although she is now developing quite a large head as well!)

This is one of my big worries as both DP and I come from families with big headed babies!

I think my main issue is they are small children, massive heads. Think it also frustrates me as I am already a high risk case and this adds to the issues.
