Hello

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hypnobirthing course in London? I liked the look of the one at the Active Birth Centre but unfortunately the dates do not work :(

Thanks in advance :)

Helianthe Ruskin runs weekend hypnobirthing courses in London - she's truly fantastic. Good sized groups and a really lovely approachable person.

I'm starting one in Tooting this week, so will try to report back!

July is perfect as you'll want/need to practice the techniques thereafter. We did a course with Helianthe for DS2's birth - it was really lovely and so much more useful than the NCT class we did before DS1's birth!

Thanks Dinky, Howi and Citizen - Helianthe has classes which are 2 streets away from where I live! Perfect :)

Where abouts in London are you? If you are South of the River try:

Good luck with it.

darlingdamsel It's Tooting Bec, in the teacher's house. Feel free to message me for more details.

I did a course with Katharine Graves which was lovely BUT really expensive, I'd just read the book and listen to the CD's - they were the most useful part of the whole experience anyway. Oh and they are going to tell you that childbirth without fear is childbirth without pain, reserve the right to be sceptical, otherwise it's a bit of a shock. Saying that - I used no pain relief during my 24 hour labour.
