Homebirth visit - would you ask for earlier?

Don't know if I'm being overly panicky or not!
According to hospitals dates I was 34 weeks on Monday just gone.

But by my dates I could be 36 weeks (+2 today)

The midwife called Monday to say my homebirth visit to sort out G&A and such will be in 2 weeks time on a friday, which by THEIR dates would make me 36+4 which still seems a bit late (they came at 35 weeks with my others) but if my dates are correct and I suspect they maybe as I am measuring big, then I'll be 38+4.

What do you think?

If you don't have a history of premature labour then having it sooner will make no odds Confused . How likely are you to need the g and a before the mw gets there on the day ?

I just want everything organised. My labour last time was quite fast.

And I've gon a bit earlier each time, only by a few daysut heres o harm in being properly prepared surely?

Well if you're not comfortable explain that you think each one is a little earlier and ask them to come a week before ?

Loopy, here you are allowed a homebirth from 35 weeks, so from this monday I'm ok to stay at home to have the baby.

I've mentioned it a few times and they are adamant they will stick to their dates,

I was given April 24th as my original date then moved to May 9th after 12 week scan.

In 2006 I had a homebirth planned and went into labour 36+6, at about 5pm. Pissed off doesn't begin to cover it. Ten minutes later the community midwife to discuss homebirth showed up at my front door for her scheduled visit. She saw the situation (screaming on the bed in agony and DH flapping about uselessly thinking it was his curry responsible!!) and told me I had to get to hospital as I wasn't 37 weeks. Okay, I could have insisted on a homebirth still, but as it was a precipitous labour and my first to boot, and I was experiencing one solid constant contraction I was in no position to argue and the midwife rang an ambulance for me as it was clear I was about to deliver. The hospital midwife messed up a few things with the birth, leaving me with both short term and long term complications I won't bore you with here.

Ironically by my dates I was 37+2, so I'm now a big supporter of making sure you're happy with the dates they have for you and will lie if necessary over my last period date as I chart obsessively when conceiving so I'm very sure of my dates. Is it too late to get your dates changed?

I've since spoken to midwives who said they would have been fine with 36+6 or even a few days earlier and would have turned a blind eye. But I've heard of nowhere that is fine before 36 weeks..

Good luck!!
