WELL....it was bad enough loosing my night sleep to being uncomfortable and peeing like a trooper but to top it off i was up last night with cramp in my leg :(

Was sooooo painful.....think i actually screamed! (god knows how i will be in labour Hmm

Anyone else experiencing this?
Also, since week 27 baby's head has been down not engaged yet but am carrying VERY low....do you think i will deliver earlier than 40 weeks? Mid-wife seems to think so? Confused.....

I've been woken up by cramp in my leg a few times. Not great - is the fastest I have moved in months though!

I'm 30 +5 and I started getting them last week, it was agony and I found it hard to walk for a few days. I read up on it and it can be connected to lack of calcium and dehydration. I upped my water intake in the day, had an extra yoghurt and then a Horlicks before bed (which has tons of calcium) - and I haven't had a leg cramp since. (Ovaltine is also meant to be good if you prefer that to drink.)

Hi SavannahRose, I'm 27+2 & after being hospitalised twice in the last week for high bp, I've started getting this horrible feeling that my feet / calves / thighs are about to cramp and then they don't! :( Part of me thinks if they would just cramp the lactic acid would go and I'd be fine!? Such an awful feeling!!!

I've found raising my legs at night help (under a pillow or two at the end of the bed) and am trying to increase my fluids & calcium after reading the same as nomoreheels, although I can't stand Horlicks or Ovaltine so drinking tons of milk instead!

Warm baths help to ease the achiness, as does a hot wheat bag / water bottle on the worst area. Also finding good supportive shoes are easing it (looks like the gorgeous new Next cork wedges might be going away until after baby is born! :() as well as staying off my feet as much as I can, DP has been excellent bless him! Hope this helps?
