Hi Smile

I'm expecting my 4th baby. I was wondering what experiences other ladies have of their labouring times increasing with each child?

My first baby (girl) took 3 days to arrive, so when i started labour with no.2 i didn't panic AT ALL - she arrived after 24 hours, and then my 3rd baby (girl) took about 7 hours to arrive, which i remember feeling was realy fast!

All 3 were back to back presentation (joy) and i can remember the MW's saying this slows labour. I stayed on my feet with no.3 till the bitter end! lol, it helped.

What is your story? Does it speed up every time?

Mine was about the of a large child's paddling pool. But it was much deeper It's was about the size and depth of dinning table (will measure in a min). We took the dinning table out and put the pool there. Filled it from the kitchen sink with clean hose pipe.
There was plenty of room for the midwifes and DH to be round the side of the pool. Plus they were near the kitchen for a cup of tea if needed. Also had a little sofa in the dinning room at the time so everyone could sit comfortably Smile.

The community midwives in our area provide the pool, liner and pump all we need to get is the clean hose. Our community Midwife care is excellent. Ok by reckoning the pool was about 1.5m circumference and maybe 1m deep (could be wrong about that)Hmm. It was big I remember thinking that when we put it together. It was metal framed not inflatable. Was pleased that it had a proper frame cause I would worry about bursting an inflatable one.

misty mine wouldn't have fit in the bathroom and we were told that we had to use it on the bottom floor of the house in case the upper floors didn't support the weight Shock. Maybe that's cause they were supplying and didn't want sued.
