7 week panic - where is my MS?

I have been looking at a lot of threads on this, but I am slowly losing my mind (waiting for my gynae to call) and wondering if I am reading too much into imaginary changes.

I am 7+2 today, of a much wanted pregnancy. Had a scan last week at 6+4, saw everything we should have seen and heard a HB, though doctor didn't seem to want to count bpm or anything and only told me when I started asking if that was my HB or the bean's that we could hear.

As of yesterday I have had no MS. I haven't had much of it, but have hd times of feeling quite sick and usually once or twice a day it is pronounced. Yesterday was a little easier, then today it's pretty much gone. Also, tmi, but no longer constipated...

Also got my HCG levels and they are around 40,000, not low, but not that high either.

I guess after all this long post I am looking for some reassurance. I am absolutely terrified of a mmc (no blood, or cramps) and can't stop worrying myself!

Thank you in advance for any replies.

What I meant to ask was: has anyone had disappearing symptoms so early on, but a healthy pregnancy? (i guess I rambled on and didn't make it clear earlier)

pregnancy symptoms do come and go... i wouldnt worry too much

Hi, I think this is really common, often it's actually around 10 weeks I think when you're in that no mans land of morning sickness gone but no "pregnancy" symptoms appearing such as bump or feeling movements. Also it's v standard for the docs not to measure heartbeat etc that early as quite often they can't detect it and then that causes panic!

All I can say is if you have a miscarriage you will know about it, it's not a case of needing to look for subtle signs. So if you are not having cramps, bleeding etc then there is no reason to think anything is wrong. Just enjoy the brief respite in MS and try to relax (easier said than done I know!).

Good luck for the rest of the pregnancy and although it may seem some way off, the 12 week scan should be great for putting your mind at rest Smile

not sure if this will reassure you...
but just thought i would say, i had almost no symptoms...i was 8 weeks before i even realised i was pregnant.

even then only mild nausea at around 12 weeks and tender breast about then too. have a healthy one year old now...

i really don't think the symptoms mean anything at all. every woman is different and every pregnancy is different.

everyone worries in the beginning. just try not to think about it...

This is entirely normal.

Pregnancy symptoms come and go. Today you think your sickness has gone, but in a couple of days it might well be back.

My first pregnancy was entirely nausea-free. My second pregnancy was a different story, but even then the sickness did come and go. It doesn't mean anything bad.

Thanks lolajane I thought as much... but of course can't help reading too mucn into everything.

ChessyEvans just the fact that you know exactly how it feels (the no man's land :) ) actually makes me feel better. Thanks for taking the time to reply - and I guess no bleeding/cramping is a good sign. Also good to know it ois normal not to measure heartbeat so early.

Thank you mamaesi I guess first time pregnancy can make one paranoid (although I was before anyway) and overthinking everything. Your experience is reassuring!

I'm so sorry. It might still be okay? I know how awful the waiting is. Have a not very Mumsnetty (((hug))), and I hope you're as alright as possible.

mamaesi · 28/03/2011 21:21

so sorry. i hope things work out

escapeartist · 29/03/2011 11:45

mamaesi and ranverdoo thanks for your support!

Had the scan today, saw baby, listened to HB, dr said all was as it should be. She said there might be a small abruption and so I should relax and take it easy for the week and wants me off work for 7 days! Wasn't expecting to tell work quite so soon, but DH has convinced me that's the right tghing to do.

Thanks again for the messages!

Oh that's brilliant. You must be so relieved. Smile

I have had zero MS this entire pregnancy and I am 30 +5. I also had 2 weeks of spotting at around the same time as you and was told this was implantation. It's scary (esp if it's your first, as it is mine) so you've done the right thing by getting it checked out, but try not to worry now that you have.
