Changing Bag

After much deliberation I have decided that I would like to buy myself a nice changing bag. I know I could go for the using a bag/ rucksack that I already have option, but on realising that I haven't actually bought a new handbag since 2009, I feel that I can fully justify a new purchase.

However, I have no idea what I'm looking for, except that I would like it to be pretty/ colourful. Any suggestions?

Check the handle can go over your buggy handle IYSWIM. I had a nice bag but couldn't fit the strap over pushchair handle bar. I was forever bending down to ram it into the basket underneath, it was a pain in the arse!

try here i have one of these and can still use it as an everyday bag too this one it has a change mat and insulated pockets to keep bottles hot/cold....

you need to decide if you will use as your handbag as well or just for baby stuff. It might be worth waiting a until a few weeks after baby is born and just use any old bag in the meantime (or get the free one from boots when you join their baby club) until you figure out how you are going to use it. Also, if you use a sling a lot rather than a pushchair you may want a backpack style. As with many many baby related things, there is no ONE perfect bag but for what its worth I have a "pink lining" one which has done really well for 20 months and will I think also cope when I have DC2 shortly and need to put in 2 lots of stuff.

Thank you good advice about the buggy have noticed that some don't have the large over the shoulder adjustable strap so will avoid those as we're getting one with a single bar handle.

Liking the look of both storksak and pink lining, joined the boots parenting club today, take it the bag comes with the welcome pack I'll be sent in about 4 weeks, so it probably is a good idea to wait until I know what I need, although day to day I will most likely use it as my bag as well as not sure I could be bothered with the faff of carrying two bags as I'd end up never knowing which one I'd put my keys in!

If you're looking for a nice bag that looks like a handbag too, try Storksak. DH has one of the 'Jamie' manbags and still uses it as a manbag. The quality is excellent.

Otherwise, I'd advocate getting an OiOi changing mat kit like this and then buying yourself a nice large tote bag/similar to carry it in.

The Cath Kidston Messenger Bags fit well across the handles of a buggy.
