Busy packing my labour bag and was wondering if i should take the babies things in the baby changing bag or just pack it all into one case?

No, just take everything in one big bag. The baby changing bag is useful when you are on the move with your baby and need everything easily accessible. But in hospital, no real need.

Good luck!

I took two small bags - one for during labour with all those little bits and bobs, and one for after with a clean pair of pjs and toiletries for me and all the baby stuff. The 'during' bag hardly got touched in the end though, so I'd probably say just pack the baby's things in with yours.

And I know it's a random thing to say but pack LOADS of spare undies for you. Both times I didnt have enough pairs but this time around I'm taking enough to clothe a small army!

Our nct teacher gave us a great tip, which I have followed with both my pregnancies....have one bag in which to pack all your stuff, then another bag for all babies clothes & nappies etc.

This is mainly because it will be your other half who has to root around in the bags finding stuff for you & stuff for the baby straight after birth. It is SO much easier if there is one bag with your maternity pads / supersize pants / post labour pj's in, and another bag to seek for new baby clothes and nappies.

It could just be my husband, but he would probably have pulled out my massive post-labour knickers and tried to dress baby in them if I hadn't put my things & baby things in 2 separate bags....!

I agree, take 2 seperate smaller bags, it's much easier for you or your DP need to find them!

Lol at icrave, now picturing a newborn dressed in mahoosive granny pants Grin

I also put DD's things in a change bag inside my hospital bag - made it much easier to find everything when we needed it than rummaging through all my things as well

separate bags. If you have a long labour you won't need baby stuff for ages and its easier to find things in a smaller bag. Your DP/DH can go and get the baby bag when things start getting interesting!
