Evening all!

Had appointment and scan today at 34+4 and discovered that baby is in an oblique breech position head upright near left ribs and bum on lower right side of bump babys feet kicking around lower pelvis :(

Not too sure what this position means for the birth they have booked another scan and appointment in 3 weeks time in the hope baby will turn though dr said it might not happen as it is difficult for baby in this position more so than in a normal breech?????? And it is more possible that they would have to try and turn the baby or I could need a c section???!?

Any one been in the same position?? Really don't want a c section!!! I worked so hard to avoid any interventions in this pregancy as I also have complications due to epilepsy!

You've time. Try reading through the "Spinning Babies" website it has helped so many women gently get in position without risk, would do no harm. I think the lady who wrote it needs a medal.

Try to look after yourself and gather as much helpful pro-active positiveinformation as possible.

Good luck :)

Hi Stressymoo,

I am in the same position as you...Sad My baby is also lying in this strange breech position, but the opposite side- head under right rib and bottom at lower left side.

I am 33 weeks at the mo and have examination/scan booked in for 3 weeks time.

Best thing I would say is to buy a birthing ball (if you don't already have one), and giving some of the exercises a go. I have also been on all fours as much as possible, when I watch tv etc...

I also don't want to end up having a c-section!

There is still time though.. I just think if we help our babies as much as possible, re: making conditions as optimal as possible for them to shift- we might have some joy!

Good-luck!Smile

Also worth trying to find an oestopath and reflexologist. I've heard wonderful things that can be achieved without any risk.
