Baby due 25th March and quite frankly, have had enough now...been very tired and emotional today and am so fed up of the school run but then feel guilty about it as am so grateful to have a DS to pick up from school iyswim?

DH takes DS the odd morning which helps a lot, but the whole getting ready when I can barely breathe, trekking out etc...getting right on my tits

My sympathies. I'm 38 + 4, have awful asthma and a chest infection; ribs and under bump ache from all the coughing, exhausted, heavy, can't breathe properly, etc etc.

Have a toddler, and 2 older ones at school. But thankfully they're 9 and 11 so I park up the hill and they just walk up to the car which really does help.

The last 2-3 wks are such hard work! Hurry up baby and hurry up Spring!

clarebear1 · 11/03/2011 16:30

Im due 30th MArch and am too feeling the same as you, so your not alone :-)

missp2010 · 11/03/2011 18:38

I'm only 30 weeks and have begun to get very fed up of the school run. It's not far at all - only 600m. But it's more the getting both DC ready to leave the house in the mornings that I can't stand. DD is a moody little shit girl atm and DS (only 2) runs away from me when I try to get him dressed, or has a tantrum over something or other. I'm dreading getting bigger/more tired etc etc.

Im due 30th and walk like John Wayne. We have an 18 month old who can out walk me and is wearing me out.

clouiseg · 11/03/2011 22:05

Am with you all on this. Tis bloody hard work mustering up the energy to do the school run as first thing and mid afternoon are when we probably feel most shattered!

Have a toddler & 2 older DDs and by the time they're all ready in the morning I already feel like I've run a marathon!! Only 32 weeks but feel ready to drop thanks to very painful braxtons & sleepless nights with 2 year old.

And yet we just find a way of coping...we are women!!!

Grin
PermaShattered · 13/03/2011 12:31

oh yes, the 'marathon' feeling by 9am. Not just me then.

NorkilyChallenged · 13/03/2011 12:33

Oh god, I'm just remembering what I've got coming. Am only 31weeks and it's not a school run but a nursery run, or actually getting anything at all achieved (putting shoes on my two can be a 45 min battle when I get out of breath just trying to pick things off the floor)

PermaShattered · 13/03/2011 13:02

Norkily how old are your 2?

Lozario · 13/03/2011 13:38

38 + 4 here too and a 21 month old running around my ankles not even being that much trouble and making me wonder what the hell I've done - Am already realising THINGS ARE/WERE SO EASY WITH ONE!!!

Thought I'd had enough at 34 weeks.... God, those were the days, I didn't know I was born....

Perpetuallypregnant · 13/03/2011 14:07

I'm only 32 weeks but suffering with spd so finding it difficult. I also have 2 teens but they thankfully get themselves sorted and I only have 1 car journey for one of them at 4.30.

I have dd2 aged 7 to sort out and take to school and then dd3 is only 9 months and still not sleeping throe the night - I'm really starting to struggle :(

I know the spd is only going to get worse too which is depressing.

Good job we're women!

PussinJimmyChoos · 13/03/2011 20:57

Nice to know we are not alone ladies Smile

Have been very twingey and getting hopes up that baby will arrive but nothing happening so far so...excuse me while I screech 'another bloody week of the school run'

Aww man these posts are funny!! They all sound like me too! Im so glad! I think the getting up in the morning is not sooo bad its the getting DS ready in time is the problem. I have tried all sorts. We even gave him an alarm clock with his fav CD in it lady gaga. (Dont worry its the song thats ok for kids)! So he would be up but he just sits in bed and sings!!! AHHHH. My pubic bone has been killing down the left side Im walking like John Wayne with a weird limp and just want to hold my fanjo whilst I walk to the school playground! Good grief Im having no more 2 is enough for me! I used to moan when I was preggers with my DS who was my first (but did have a disslocated knee as well). But this is pants. There is no family here either moved away so no support. There are other preggers ladies there too one is a week behind me (Im 37 weeks) she looks knackered as well she has a toddler and a 5yrs old!! So I keep thinking at least I have a few hours on my own in the day Wink but does not stop me wanting baby to come out but then its going to be DS and baby Shock to get ready for school! YEY cant freakin wait!!!

PussinJimmyChoos · 14/03/2011 20:26

I am trying not to think about post birth and getting DS and a baby ready for school...I am kidding myself that it will be easier as I will at least have my body back and can breathe and not have reflux every time I bend over to pick something up....

I am in denial really aren't I?? Grin

I am seriously starting to see the merit of doing school run in pjs quite frankly...

OP posts:
PermaShattered · 14/03/2011 21:32

Pussin - I'll be SO glad to be able to bend over again! I'm due next Monday (having twinges this wk) and I'm sure I'll manage better when I don't ache, etc. Or am i in denial too?!

PussinJimmyChoos · 14/03/2011 22:42

Well, I have to say, the denial doesn't feel too bad right now so I will carry on with it Grin

Will probably see you on the sleep threads in a few weeks and the Style and Beauty, where we will be looking for sleep tips and make up to disguise dark circles Grin

Exciting that you are due next Monday though! Keep us posted!

Just a moan: I'm SO fed up. Loads of painful niggles but still no sign of proper labour. I've still got a horrendous cough (GP says it's viral) and a stinking cold that's so bloomin stinking that I can't smell the Tea Tree Oil on my pillow - it could be soaked in it and I wouldn't smell it!

I'm so drained from coughing and blowing my nose, on top of the usual caring for 3 other children, school runs, etc.

BUT: I'm so thankful that I'm due Monday and so the baby could come anytime now. Just needed to let off a bit more moaning.

And watching the News 24 coverage of Japan puts it ALL into perspective. How's everyone else doing on this thread? x

Perpetuallypregnant · 17/03/2011 20:11

Well I'm a wreck but not for the normal reasons. My mum and gran have taken the baby (10m) away for 10 days while they are housesitting for ,y brother. It's about a 6 hour drive away.

I mow I should be grateful for the break but my god I can't stop crying! I miss her so much and I'm finding it so strange. She doesn't sleep through the night and doesn't give me a moments peace but wow I miss her little face. I still have another 3 dcs here who are all at school so going down there and staying too is not an option.

Wahhhhhhhh

Sorry for the whinge.

Scruffyhound · 18/03/2011 13:05

Do you think there could be a market for a woman doing school runs for us pregnant women who are tired!! A freakin white van man went in the back of me on Wednesday I got out of the car and said what do you think your doing? Im heavly pregnant my 5yr DS was in the car he hurt my back from the impact but I was that cross!! He then said pull around the corner and we can exchange details. I did he followed then drove off!!!Angry I did not take DS to school yesterday and had to go hospital wednesday night for mont as the accident left me very shaken and a bit hurt my DS was ok. So I do the school run this morning and I was soo jumpy and scared. I have had 3 accidents now with in 1 1/2 years and ALL 3 have not been my fault had 2 cars written off as well. Each time my DS has been in the car. Fookin school run!!! But again I agree its not really that bad compared to Japan I mean there are people there who have lost loved ones and are in a right mess. My heart goes out to them. I did wonder how many little babys/children have no parents because of it?
