Very early days! Expecting 3rd November... But need comfy PJs / nighties. Would prefer long sleeves. Button through front would be an advantage once I've had the baby for breastfeeding. But will consider without buttons for just now: before baby arrives. Been traing shops this morning with not a long sleeve in sight. Help! Thanks :-)

I like the Primark ones for £3.90. I live in them and find they are nice and warm and as they are so cheap are a bargain.

oh4goodnesssake · 11/03/2011 14:04

I never found the buttons essential with PJs as you just hoik your top up to shove baby on. Much less revealing in my opinion. another vote for Primark from me, I wouldn't spend a lot as anything that fits now, probably wont fit by the end.

Another vote for Primark. I've also bought a few pairs from Sainsburys. I don't like long sleeves to sleep in as I get too hot so if I can find them I get sets with a vest and a long sleeved lounge top to go over the top in the evening/morning. Also, don't bother buying special maternity/buttoned ones, I agree with others who have said to just hoik your top up if breastfeeding. I always buy pjs bigger than normal size, I'm usually a 10 but I buy them in 12/14 so they are nice and sloppy and the other benefit is they fit all through pregnancy.

stegasaurus · 11/03/2011 17:30

I've got some from Primark too that button down the front and are comfy. I bought a pair last week so they probably still have them in even though the shops think it is summer now and mostly only have short sleeves in.

jazz412 · 11/03/2011 17:45

I like floppy pjs made out of that jersey (?) material, you can get them at Primark (bobble around your bits quite quickly) or from M&S for better quality floppyness :) thats for the trousers, for tops i generally wear oversized teeshirts

lolajane2009 · 11/03/2011 17:49

Primark have those 3.90 ones all year round... i got the same ones in summer that i got this week.

Diamondsamdrubies · 11/03/2011 21:34

Thanks girlies! Gonna pop into primark first thing on Monday now. Can't be bothered getting all flustered with the weekend crowds! Might also pop into marks and sparks too! Cheers :-)

At 30 weeks I outgrew my Primark PJs and bought some of the NCT Melba PJs. The waist sits low under bump and the front is runched over.

Utterly comfy and the best maternity buy I've made save perhaps for ASOS maternity trousers.

Diamondsamdrubies · 13/03/2011 17:06

Thanks for the tip Looby. Will try and google where to purchase! X:-)

Also Asda are worth a look. I got some black botttoms when I was about 10 weeks when I had a sensitive tummy which look like joggers for when I cant be bothered to change them when we are having visitors.

They have a fold down waist thing and got a sticker on that says 'feel the fabric' and they are super soft. They still have them in and I think I have 3 pairs now and still wearing at 31 weeks Smile

bessie26 · 13/03/2011 22:36

I got these from Next, very comfy & have a drawstring on the waist so am hoping I can still wear them once the bump has disappeared! (unlike the ones I bought last pg which stretched so much they just fell off!

I prefer to have the button access for bf, I feel the cold & so liked to keep as much of me covered up as possible!!

edwardcullensotherwoman · 14/03/2011 00:37

Ooh snap with due date OP! Peacocks have some lovely ones at the moment, not maternity but I've always found their pjs to have loads of room anyway!
Good luck in your search!

Diamondsamdrubies · 14/03/2011 08:54

Thanks girlies! I like the ones from next, so have ordered a set! I'll pop into Asda and peacocks later this week. I think I'll get at least four sets and buy them in two sizes larger: should see me through pregnancy and breastfeeding if all goes to plan! The asda ones sound really comfy! That's exactly what I was looking for. Variety will be good: so all ideas much appreciated ladies! :-) x

My sis got me a lovely pair of pjs from jojomamanbebe for xmas
just checked online and they have some similar ones in their spring range in a stretchy jersey fabric (mine were flannely winter bottoms)
really comfy with soft over the bump bit
also second cowboylovers advice about the asda bottoms. i have those too, v soft and comfy and have been wearing them for yoga not as pjs!

WiiUnfit · 14/03/2011 18:49

Another vote for Primark here - try the pj tops (couple of quid each if that?) with the support band under the boob bit in, so comfy & saved me from what would have been sleepless, very uncomfortable nights & sore nipples!!!

chinateacup · 16/03/2011 10:12

Def another vote for Primark. They also have a lot of soft sporty/ seamless/ low support type bras which are comfy if you do want something for night time too
