I am only 6 weeks so its all hush hush at work but this week the fatigue has hit me for the first time.
Does anyone have any hints of how to cope with tiredness at work - i keep wanted to nod off at my desk!
I'm eating lots of fruit and drinking water but cut back on caffeine - just 1/2 proper teas in the morning
Any thoughts?

no sorry, IME, it's just something you have to ride out. get to bed as early as you can, sleep in at weekends. if it's any consolation, for a lot of women, this goes around week 14. you can have more caffeine than 1/2 teas though, if that's any help

congratulations by the way!

Gosh, I so was knackered at work sometimes, it was difficult to stay awake. Sometimes I would put some paper on my desk and put my head in my hands so I could close my eyes but to others it just looked like I was reading! SOmetimes just a walk about or a trip to the bathroom or making a cup of tea helped perk me up a bit.

Just be good to yourself - listen to your body and get as much sleep and relaxation as possible in the evening - I went to bed so early sometimes! It does pass though.

I agree with maxpower. It was hard work but I just used to come home and nap. When DH got home I'd cook dinner (except when my sickness was bad, when he did it), try to eat something and go back to sleep. I achieved absolutely nothing but work, eating and sleeping from weeks 6 -12.

I slept in at weekends and did housework and shopping then but tbh would recommend internet shopping if you can. I've got allergies so don't like the substitutions they can make.

I also drank redbush tea with milk which is caffeine free (although you can have about 4 cups of normal tea) and I found just the fact it was hot and tasted like tea kept me awake. Some dried fruit for concentrated sugar might not be a bad idea too.

Anyway, congrats on your pregnancy.

I drive to work and keep a pillow in the car. I have found that napping at lunchtime for about 25 mins can be enough to help me survive the afternoon. Much easier now I don't have to be secretive about it though.
