Has anyone had any experience of this? My placenta is covering the os at 28 weeks, is there any chance of it moving? I have read on the internet that a posterior placenta is less likely to move is this true? I havent had any bleeding at all.
Thank you for your help.

Hi! I am a few days shy of 28 weeks and I also have posterior placenta previa. My placenta previa is also "complete" at this point, so still completely covering the os. I just met with my OBGYN again today and he is still quite optimistic that it may move and he actually said that it is more common for posterior placenta previa to resolve itself as opposed to anterior placenta previa. He said with anterior it the placenta is usually attached to previous scar tissue.
I have also had no bleeding up to this point, keeping fingers crossed that neither of us have any bleeding! I have been infomed by my doctor that if I do have bleeding to go directly to the hospital to be checked out, even if it is a small bleed. I am to go to the Maternity ward and ensure they know I have previa so they do the appropriate type of exam.

I have been on pelvic rest since the previa was discovered about 2 months ago and have had ultrasounds to measure the movement of the placenta.
I have been told that if the placenta does not move I would be scheduled for a c-section one week before my due date unless of course I go nto labour earlier or have issues with bleeding.

Take it easy and follow your doctors orders, if he says not to lift, jog or stay away from intercourse etc (those are my orders and by intercourse he means nothing at all in relation to that, it has been a long two months!) then do it, all in the effort to prevent any bleeds.

Hope this helps, good luck to you! There is hope it could still move!
I have actually talked to 2 other moms who had complete previa where it has moved, one moved finally at 36 weeks! So we still have time for a natural vaginal birth!

;o)
