Your GP can refer you

I did a self referral but I had to get the form off the midwife first but I believe you can also get the self referral form from the Doctors too.
A pillow between your knees I find is the best thing to help, and changing sides frequently is the only way to stop the pain in my hips. I now have a dreamgenie pillow which supports my bump whichever side im laying on and has the long sausage bit for between your leggs then I have a V shaped pillow on top of my normal pillows. I find this most comfy but just experiment until you find something that helps :)

If you can afford it, an osteopath or chiropractor experienced with pregnant women is usually more effective than an NHS physio. You can self-refer for them.

Apparently silky PJ's help with moving around in bed...

My doctor referred me after having it for 10 weeks.

Just make sure you do it asap as it can take quite a while.

Mine started at 35 weeks last time and I got my referral phone call when my baby was a week old :)

You can see your GP for one.

I called a regular Physio when I was waiting and had a chat, she was very aware of my symptoms and really helpful so I made an appointment to see her and she was more so then than the NHS one I saw 7 weeks later.

It cost 35 for an hour so cheaper than I thought it would be.

I hope you manage to get some support soon as its so painful.

I had the opposite experience to cowboy, I saw a private general physio while waiting for my NHS referral to come through and the NHS specialist one is MUCH better. It only took about 3 weeks for the NHS referral and now I have as much physio as I need for the rest of the pregnancy. I'd go as soon as possible as starting treatment early on might help prevent it getting worse.

HAd it with both my kids. the 1st time didn't see any one just pain relief, pillow between knees, bag for swizzling on car seat!!! Had terrible back ache after and went to see chiropractor. 2nd time went to see chiropractor every few weeks and amazing how the pain stopped and lasted for a good 2 weeks! I would defo recommend if u can afford. See also gave me acupunture and put baby in a good position for giving birth.
