I had a willy inside my tummy for almost 9 months! :os

Am I the only mum (of a boy obviously!) who finds this mind-boggling..?

I said exactly those words when telling people I was having a boy after 3 girls.

Freshmint - why such a miserable sourpuss?

Dumbledoresgirl · 26/02/2011 18:43

I have to admit, I sided with freshmint, until I realised the other day I was feeling inordinately proud of the fact that I had made something in my children's bodies that has ticked away all these years and has now triggered their bodies to go through puberty. I thought that was pretty clever Blush

TotorosOcarina · 26/02/2011 18:47

I agree!

I've never dwelled on it but had the thought of 'ooh theres a little willy in my tum'
but surely silly thoughts are normal especially in pregnancy Grin

TotorosOcarina · 26/02/2011 18:48

I think my most constant pregnancy thought is

'I wish there was a window in my tummy so I could see him!'

I just wonder what he looks like, what position he is in, is he head down?? and what the hell is he doing when my tummy goes like a jack hammer for 15 seconds?!?

Would love to see in there!

Cyclebump · 26/02/2011 18:56

I do find it odd that my body can create a boy, willy and all, despite me being a woman. Dunno why but it seems more plausible to be able to 'copy yourself' when you have a girl.

GoodbyePinotGrigio · 26/02/2011 18:57

I'm with Freshmint, I'm afraid.

When I saw the title of the posting I physically squirmed !

BarbieLovesKen · 26/02/2011 19:54

Ooh being honest I hadnt thought of it before but now that you've mentioned it I am finding it a bit mind boggling that I had a willy in my tummy with ds!!! Grin. Tis wierd.

I dont know what this one is but have to admit that I do go "oooh" a bit when I've read on a couple of occasions that if its a girl, eggs have formed in her ovaries - I just find it fascinating/ unbelievable..

mamaGool · 26/02/2011 21:00

Blimey. I expected this to be a light-hearted thread, not controversial... I certainly didn't expect to make anyone "physically squirm" Confused

roo Congratulations! Twin boys, how fab :)

Ilovekittyelise Exactly - it's amazing isn't it how clever our bodies are!

TotorosOcarina Love the idea of a bump window (except then random strangers would want to SEE it as well as comment on & grope it)!

Cyclebump Yes! I know it's not like cloning, but it's still amazing to me that I "grew" a boy.

BTW, huge congratulations to all you ladies currently "growing" new LOs, be they with or without willies! [wunk]

wunk??? PML... Grin

I want a bump window too now!!

frida75 · 26/02/2011 21:27

If you had a bump window you'd have to have a curtain fitted to stop strangers seeing - or you could charge for a viewing. Personally I'd go for shutters for that 'shabby chic' French feel Grin

Newgolddream · 26/02/2011 21:30

pmsl @ FirmBottom Grin

mamaGool · 26/02/2011 21:57

frida - charge for a viewing - I love it! How much do you think..?

LMAO Yes this thought did occur to me when I had my DS ... and my DH loved to point out I was growing a willie every time I had a scan Wink

PinkFondantFancy · 27/02/2011 08:01

Hahaha this is genius!!! Grin the fact that there's a mini person with a brain and heartbeat living inside me is mind blowing enough but if it's a boy, the thought of him giving himself erections is too funny for words!!! You're actually inside your mum, don't you have any shame???? Grin

Bump window would be AMAZING. I would definitely charge per view. I find it hard enough trying to get any work done rather than day dreaming about whether the bean's ok and what it's doing and what it looks like-if I had a bump window that would be game over for my productivity!!!

Cyclebump · 27/02/2011 10:22

Hmmm, perhaps we need an AIBU thread on AIBU to be allowed to stay my normal silly self even though I'm going to be someone's mum.... Grin

I would have loved a window last night. Whole bump lurched to one side. DP and I just stared in amazement.

Bonkerz · 27/02/2011 10:34

I suspected i was having a boy as i got more aggressive at the start (and still really) in this pregnancy. The same happened when i was pregnant with DS 11 years ago! True to form i had 4d scan yesterday (pic is on profile) and its deinately a boy!

PermaShattered · 27/02/2011 13:20

I found it odd that I was carrying a willy around inside me! I thought it was just my silly mind - glad I wasn't the only one!!!!!!

mamaGool · 01/03/2011 12:05

Cyclebump Silly mummies aren't allowed, didn't you know? Wink
Maybe your baby was practising dance moves in your tum!

PinkFondantFancy it's all kinds of wrong isn't it?!

Bonkerz do you really get more aggressive when preggers with boys? That's fascinating! My Thai friend says if you're pregnant with a girl, you look good during pregnancy, but not with a boy. She tactfully said I must have been having a girl, until she was proved wrong!
