Pains if I walk too much

I'm 25 weeks on tuesday, and sometimes I get these pains in the front, but to the right side (just next to my belly button) of my bump when I walk long distances, or even while im walking home from work which is only at the end of my street. It feels almost like a stitch only not as sharp and more achey. I have read that you're not supposed to start doing any excercise that you wouldn't normally do, but I always have walked lots so I know its not down to the fact im doing more than I used to! The pain always goes as soon as I get home and sit down. I was just wondering if anyone else has had something similar?

I've had the same thing from around 20 weeks (now 32 weeks). I spoke to the midwife about it and she said it was ligaments stretching and I just needed to slow down a bit. Now at 32 weeks, it's really uncomfortable but mainly it's because the baby is sitting right around my ribs so feels stitch like. I think some people just feel the pain and others don't. Best mention it to your midwife at your next appt though.

hi, i am 28.5 weeks. i do yoga 4 times per week and swim 3 times per week. i have been getting pains in the belly button area. these are not consistent and occur 1-2 times per week sometimes for a few minutes to a couple of hours... my consultant said it is ok -- either braxton hicks or membrains are stretching...

I had this...remember your belly button is playing an important role..and you may find your little one is pulling it's cord (not a lot else to do in there) and since it's attached to you..this is going to hurt.

Well that's what my doctor and MW both said.

haha ewww thats gross lol! My little girls favourite toy seems to be my bladder especially when its full! If she was pulling the cord, isn't there a danger if it snapping? I'm doing a young expectant parents course and its a midwife that runs it, and I asked her if it was possible for the cord to break when pulling the placenta out after having a baby and she said that shes known that happen quite a few times!
