Yes! I had it at about 6 weeks pregnant with DS2 after I locked a number of my lower vertebrae together.

Remember to tell your osteopath that you are pregnant. Mine decided against using any of the ultrasound therapy he usually used and did all the manipulation with me lying on my side. It was wonderful and left me pain free for over a year (I have long standing back problems).

Good luck, and stop lifting chimney pots!!

I also used one from 25 weeks - he was specialised in pregnancy too.

Oh, mine relapsed too but that's because I was lifting DS2 out of the basket by my bed whilst twisted and also because I'll always be vulnerable to problems in that area. However, 12 months without a twinge at all was a miracle for me!

I have read that some people think not safe in first trimester and others think it's ok. A friend of mine is 9 weeks and having cranial osteo for her morning sickness. I had osteo at the end of my pregnancy with ds last year which was meant to help the birth and all that.

I had McTimoney (sp?) Chiropractic in first pregancy (similar to Cranio-sacral osteopathy) and then CS osteopathy all the way through second and I fully intend to do it again this time, I found it really essential to help with all the aches and pains. As long as the therapist knows you are pregnant and treats you accordingy it shouldn't be a problem.
