39 weeks today. I have a bigggg baby in here btw - measured 40 weeks at 36 weeks and estimated a good 9lbs at least last week.

Past couple of days have been getting an odd feeling in my digestion. Often feels like something sharp is poking in me sort of right inside between boobs and tummy button area. When I eat I feel really odd afterwards (and indeed thinking about it most of the time)- a bit like I've eaten something which has disagreed with me and digestion is struggling with it. I also feel quite sick on and off to the point of feeling (this is odd) a bit sicky in my throat and nose (not in a reflux type of way like there's anything actually there, more in a sensation type of way). No matter what I do or eat or position I'm in it's there. I thought yesterday it was just a one off bad day but it's still here now and I'm feeling really fed up and queasy. I had terrible ms for months and the past couple of weeks or so have been the first time I've actually started to enjoy being pg a bit - didn't last long Confused.

Is this just baby running out of space and to be expected for here on in? Anything I can do to move her a bit to make things any better for me?

Thanks all

It could very well just be baby running out of space. I think it's probably worth making an appointment to see your midwife though. I had very similar aches and pains at the end of both my pregnancies and it turned out that I had pre-eclampsia. They can check for this with a simple urine test.

Don't panic, as I said, it is probably just baby running out of room and putting feet and elbows where they shouldn't be, it could even be the start of labour, (I've heard some people feel sick just before like their body is having a clear out ready) but better to be safe than sorry.

And don't put too much faith in the size estimates. The sonographer did a late scan as I had a low lying placenta, she showed me the measurements and the charts and was sure DD was going to be almost 10lbs!! - she was 7lbs 1oz! Grin

blatherskite Shock at pre ec - I had urine checked last thursday and it was fine then so hoping it's OK. I've got a bp monitor so will check bp from home and see what it looks like.

Got horrific heartburn last night. Guess I'm just running out of spcae with this big lassie Confused

Sorry, didn't want to scare you but figured it was safer to say and you get checked than keep quiet. If you had a urine test last week, you'll be fine - just running out of space.

Heartburn is awful isn't it! I was glugging Gaviscon from the bottle by the time my 2 were ready to be born.
