Where are we shopping for maternity clothes this season ladies?

Hi

I started the dreaded shop for mat clothes but was fairly optimistic remembering the lovely flowing tops or tunics from last season...only to find tighter fitting styles (you know the ones, that attract the unwelcome belly rubbers like magnets) or pretty patterned tops with an extra frilly bottom to that you gran could mistake for regurgitated net curtains from yesteryear as they look horrid.

As u can tell my shopping spree didn't go well.....

I did some online shopping but even then the style is still the same. I can get away with my own jeans or trousers if I use a bump band but tops...I'm really struggling with. Buying non mat clothes in bigger styles doesn't work as too big for back, arms etc.

Needless to say I returned empty-handed and drowned my sorrows in a decaff latte with a belgian bun, not productive but yummy Grin

Help! Where are u ladies finding great buys?

Have a look at www.globalmaternity.com. I got some lovely tops and cardigans from there the other day and they have 20% off, which helps. There HOTmilk maternity lingerie is also a great price compared to other online stores I saw. Good luck.

Isabella Oliver (shop or ebay)
Top Shop
H&M is nice this season
Gap?
Primark for stretch tops and basics just in a bigger size rather than mat.
Lots of lovely stuff about. Think I should buy now. Not quite needing it yet but guaranteed not to be able to find anything when I do!

I've spent most of my pregnancy wearing mat jeans or leggings with tops from White Stuff, they're not maternity but the way they're cut , a-line, long line or slightly-smocked work really well as mat clothes.Their tunic tops look great with boots and leggings even with a nine month bump. I tend to read the online reviews and the ones were people complain about the fit being "maternity like" are the perfect option for us! they're not the cheapest but at least the quality is good.

I've bought a skirt and top from Isabella Oliver for work, work trousers, jeans, skinny combats, a denim skirt and 2 tops from gap and then some casual tops from H&M. If you're tall Gap is good because the trousers come in a longer length which I think is a 34 leg and the quality's ok. Personally I found the h&m work clothes a bit too synthetic and shiny but they do a good selection.

I've got jeans from Dorothy Perkins (the only place I can find them almost short enough for me at a reasonable price), long-sleeved tops from New Look and H&M, a smarter top from New Look and my mum bought me a dress from Mothercare at Christmas. I also went to Primark and got some jumpers and cardigans several sizes bigger than my usual size, and am still wearing some long-sleeved tops, wrap-around cardigans and jumpers that were big and baggy pre-pregnancy. Fortunately I wear a uniform to work so don't have to worry about work clothes.

try ebay..I bought a pile of Mat clothes for 20 pound... couple of pairs of jeans, cords, few tops..also went to primark.... as I deff wont be wearing them for much longer..am hoping that at some point I can fit back into my old clothes.... also have been living in leggings and long tops over the last while... Its the most comfiest!

Good luck...new look are ok. I would say dont spend a fortune as you will (Hopefully ) be out of them soon enough .....x

I bought some super soft skinny jeans and tweed trousers from Topshop recently- they're both really comfy and could be worn after the baby is born, as they don't have the big bump bands built in. Tried a few maternity tops in New Look, but the shoulders were far too wide for me, and I thought H&M was a bit disappointing. Topshop also has loads of non-maternity lovely slouchy jumpers that are a really nice fit.

I'm struggling to find anything - it's either really frumpy or really nasty material and doesn't fit. And so much black! I'm still making do with my normal clothes, but they can't last much longer.

Isabella Oliver looks promising - does anyone know how big their sizes come up? I'm normally a size 8 on top but 10 on the bottoms.

Is there anywhere that does Jigsaw style/quality maternity wear?
