Hi all,
I am currently 17+2 with baby number 3.
I have 2 DD's aged 6 and 8.
We live in a 2 bed house and they share a really large room at present. We won't be moving until after baby is born so it will be in with us for quite a while, well till about 10 months I think.

My question is we are obviously limited for space so is a Moses basket really needed ? I cant remember what i did first time round. I did have one but didnt use it for very long. The cot will be set up in our room so can it go straight into that ?

I reckon you can put the baby straight into the cot. Maybe swaddle them to make them feel secure. I don't get the moses basket really.

Straight into the cot is fine.

If you have a carrycot as part of your travel system/pram/buggy then you could put baby in there, inside the cott.

*cot

I am a first timer in a one bedroom flat and I'm going to put the baby straight into a cot for space reasons, and we're considering getting one of these in case it feels too big at first.

I decided moses baskets are pretty but probably not necessary for the short time that they are useful, but am speaking from zero experience so hope I'm right!

they are useful as place for baby to sleep during the day when downstairs but you could use the pram. I am sure there are ways round it.

I'm a first timer but not planning to get one. We have a crib which will go in our room and a pram carrycot which can be portable if we want the baby to sleep in the living room. And since we're in a 1-bed flat that's pretty much all the options covered!

I found the Moses basket really handy for having downstairs in the day, but I was given one & not sure if I would have bought one tbh.

The pram I had would have been fine for that anyway-and we had a horrible carpet in the hall, so wouldn´t even have had to worry about dirty pram wheelsGrin
