The wait until 12 weeks scan feels soooooo long!!!

Arrrgggghhhhhhh time is dragging until my scan! I have mw appointment a week today when I'll be 8 weeks- any ideas what she ll do in that appointment??

Then I presume I'll have to arrange the scan for 4 weeks time?

Time please go fast just this once!!

no its my 4th a total shock as well! Was going for a coil fitting and was told do do a test. oh well am really exited now. i have recently qualified as a teaching assistant but am out of work. werwe are you going skiing sounds fun xx is this your first CrazyAlien06

I'm off to Canada!:) craziness! Got loads o planning to do before I leave but having hair done instead lol. Cant go on holiday with bad roots!
Yeah it's my first! So scary, just want the scan all done so I can enjoy it rather than not really believing it lol

Valiant I hear you. I'm 8 weeks and just got my booking appointment date through yesterday (7th March) and my scan is on 23rd March. I'm so anxious and wishing it could just happen tomorrow. I'm trying to find a way to calm down because all this stress can't be good for either me or the bean.

2 weeks until scan date! scary stuff!! x

Anymore positive first scan results? I have mine in two weeks and am terrified :( hardly had any symptoms, just tiredness earlier on and feeling bit icky. I want it to be over and all good :( starting to not sleep and having nightmares. A good friend of mine had no baby at 12 week scan so bad links to scans anyway.

I had my scan on tuesday... cried when I heard the heartbeat then laughed when the baby seemed to think it was on a trampoline and was jumping up and down. Baby decided it didnt want to be measured and would never quite stretch out how she needed it to. Can't stop looking at the scan picture and I think I am in love already.

That's great Lola, I'm just having a down day about whole pregnancy thing :( scaring me about how life changing it is and worried as not near family. I want children just got so much to sort out beforehand- got to move house, finish job asap as not happy at all and then gotta deal with body changing, I've always been slim size 10 , hating the cellulite getting worse thanks to not being able to use usual lotions and potions to keep it limited! Arrrgggghhhh sorry for such a long rant:( am watching take me out on my own and waiting to get a call from dh to pick him up from his drinking sess which will probably be around 2am... Oh my life is great....

only 2 weeks to my scan cant wait had a bad day.. wish i wasn't so close to my family . tv is pants tonight too.

I have shed loads of school work to do ,gave up earlier! usually go to watch dh play footie every Sunday morning as love it and enjoy the fresh air but depends if I get my work done! Cant stand my job as it takes over my whole life :(

We just had our 12 week scan and it was amazing!!! To see the baby moving around so much, really brings it home, that your going to be a parent and having the doctor tell you everything is perfect, really calms the nerves too.

Good luck to everybody!!! The time will fly by.

Ps: if you really can't wait you can go private, we did twice. :) soooooo bloody impatient, but worth every penny! If I remember correctly it was £70 consultation and £50 scan.

Crazy i looked in to teaching last week on line. i am a teaching assistant and am stuck with no job so thought i may retrain, will have to wait now but hey ho just wish i had something more to do than cook and wash lol i know i will have soon but feel i have wasted 3 years training to be out of work..... God i'm sorry how depresed do i sound .... so what age do you teach?

I teach 8 year olds ( Year 3) its such a tiring job. Im in my NQT year so hoping it will get easier! Am going to do supply work once I have finished my induction year as pay is great and dont have the hassle of paperwork!

Paternal where did u find a place for private scans? did want to go private for earlier scan

Now I am waiting for 16wk midwife and 20wk appointment.

I think it the paper work that makes me go mmmm as a TA there really is none lol.. my son is in year 4 he's a gem [not] and if i had a class of 30 of him i would cry lots and be extreamly stressed and for your first year xx amazing xx

lol yeah sometimes I feel amazing but most of the time I feel dead on my feet :(
I have 27 darlings and mostly boys which is a fun time!

We went to a private clinic in Greenwich, it was suggested by a friend. I think it was called Greens surgery.

I'm 8 weeks today and have jsut had my letter for scan which will be done when i'm 12+1. Haven't heard yet when my first MW app will be though .

my scan is tomorrow and I've a pain in my stomach just thinking about it. Only two of my friends have been pregnant and one had no heartbeat at the scan at 14 weeks, baby had died at 9-10 weeks but she didn't feel any different :-/ ahhhhh I definately won't be able to sleep tonight...
