Mine was breech and had been all the way, and I am at 39+3 today. This is no 2, and I had C-section with my DD, now 3.5, due to fetal distress, and have been told all the way through, that despite being really keen for a VBAC this time, breech are these days usually delivered by C-section. So I have been trying everything to get the baby to turn, like moxibustion from my acupuncturist, and almost being brave enough to do a duckdive in the swimming pool with the midwife who takes the aquanatal class (although I just hate being underwater, and have been kicking myself for being too chicken to do it, as I've heard it is so successful!) all to no avail. In addition to this, they have been scanning me weekly as they are concerned about the growth curve my baby is following, and are predicting it to be small. This has turned out to be in my favour, as when the consultant checked me last week, he felt that baby was a 'nice, little, mobile' one, and he suggested he try and turn it with a ECV procedure, something I had been told was not an option following a previous C-section. I jumped at the chance, as I completely trusted his vast experience, and knew he wouldn't have suggested it if he didn't feel he had a pretty good chance, and it worked and he turned it on Monday :) So since then, we have been full steam ahead to bring on labour. He is going to do a full scan and health check on baby on Monday, a day ahead of my due date, as baby is predicted to be 5lb13 at the moment, and he didn't want to see growth tailing off too much after due date, and so they may induce me next week, but even though that may not work, at least we now have an option other that straight to ELCS with poor little one plucked out with no labour to kick-start any hormones, which I was not at all keen on.
God, just realised I have written a novel - sorry!
I have heard of so many that turn on their own at the last minute, so fingers crossed for you. Try everything you can before it gets to big to move.
Best of luck x
