Which pillow would you recommend to make sleeping whilst pregnant more comfortable?

I tried a wedge and found it useless. Going to opt for a body pillow this time i think. Think the kleenize (sp?) book has them really cheap.

I have a long "sausage" type pillow that i love (and about 10 other normal pillows that I love propping myself with too- poor DH is getting squeezed out!)

My one piece of advice is this- i ordered a "dream geni" and hated it. not sure how it got such rave reviews- its tiddly! i knew i'd roll right over it in about 30 seconds so returned it!

I have one of these plus several others stacked around me and find that works but as Kviddy said poor DH is finding it difficult to get any room now bless him and thats with a king sized bed

I'm using standard pillow but made of memory foam between my knees and lower legs.
the memory foam is quite hard and I've never liked using it to put my head on but have found it's hardness really supportive.

I just use my V-cushion and it keeps me comfortable! I sleep with one bit under my bump and the rest goes between my legs, which keeps my back pain free.

I use a long pillow from Argos www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3768789/Trail/searchtext%3EPREGNANCY+PILLOW.htm. I got it when pregnant with DD1 and like it so much I've used it for ever since, now preg with DC2. It's got a bit lumpy over the past 3 years but I just give it a good shake every night. It's so comfy that when it does finally give up the ghost I'll probably buy a new one even though not likely to be pregnant a third time. I've also found I can bend it round into a semi-circle to help me lie on my front without squashing the bump.

I've got the Theraline Big V which I absolutely adore and can't work out how I managed without.

Boyfriend likes that sometimes he gets the tail end to put between his knees too, when we're spooning.

It's dreamy. Haven't tried any others, tho, so can't comment.

I second the Theraline. I borrowed a friend's for my first pregnancy and used it throughout, and then as support when breastfeeding. It is filled with little beads, a bit like a beanbag, and is sooooo comfortable, and really malleable as well. I have just bought my own to use now I'm on pregnancy #2. It's not cheap (around £45-£50), but I got a 2nd hand one on Ebay for half the price.

I treated myself to a curved body pillow about 3 weeks ago. Estimate I'm sleeping 20-25% better - love it!!!

this one It's flatter than I thought it would be but works really well.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 04/02/2011 15:23

I have a full body pillow, plus 2 extra normal pillows.

Had a dream-genie when I was pg with DS, which I quite liked but was no good once my bump got really big. Also, what a PITA to change the pillowcase!

PermaShattered · 04/02/2011 22:08

Don't waste your money - normal pillows do the job just fine.

LittleMilla · 04/02/2011 22:29

I have got this V-shaped one from john Lewis, only £20 and A-MAZING!! Grin

Been suffering from SPD and really helps me and as bump grows (I am now 28 weeks) it helps to prop it. Same as ecuse, my husband "hops on" when we're going to sleep. Although it ends up prodding him in the back as the night progresses Blush. He doesn't mind too much though....just takes a bit of getting used to.

Also used a dream genie when staying with a friend but I prefer this one cause it's firmer and gives me more support. I am also hoping to use it post-pg for feeding.

A third recommendation for the theraline. It's really versatile cos it's so long and flexible. I use it all over the house! IRS soft and firm somehow. Good combo.

I tried standard v cushion whilst stating at family's and it didn't work for me.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. Spoilt for choice a bit now!
