Foetal/Fetal Doppler

Hello everyone,

Are you able to buy foetal/fetal dopplers in any shops, or are they all on-line? And has anyone purchased one and wished they hadn't, can you give any advise/review? (what I'm trying to say is, are they worth the money?)

Ok so I was expecting it to have a wand like the Drs one (u can hire them) but its like a pebble thing.

BUT

Am happy. Took a few of mins of listening to an awful sound as you move it about - but I found baby!! Little rascal kept sneaking off and moving but could follow bubs around and freaked me out how much movement was going on but such a great thing. I was a little wary that bubs could feel me pushing this thing against it mind but suppose they are so cushioned thats irrational!

Anyway the headphones with it are naff but it comes with an attachment so you can listen to it on your pc or radio. I use my Ipod headphones for it which are BRILLIANT! I ordered some ultrasound gel with it for £2 and it was a nice big supply of the stuff!

Hubby came home. Less impressed with my buy...he hasnt listened yet but I get the impression hes not that interested....rugby on? Blah blah...

Its just a toy that is for me until I start getting elbowed in the ribs!

Verdict - recommended :) But remember it might not always pick up baby.
