I got up early this morning dragged dh and dd (18 months) to mothercare to buy/look at double strollers. db due april. anyway i left with my blood boiling. i asked the assistant when she passed for help and she just said i cant help you im busy and walked off. the store was only open 10 minutes. we waited outside especially so we would be early and hopefully get someone to help. she never offered to get someone else to help. this has happened in this store before so i dont think i was unlucky this one time.
out of principal im not buying from them now. I was soooooo mad i could have screamed......hormones i think lol

Northern Ireland - it's where tayto crisps are from, so I just wondered

The best customer service I have had was at the Kiddicare store. If you can make it up there then it is well worth a look as they have a massive range too. The staff were present and available but not in your face, offered full demos of any buggy, even the cheapest one in stock and didn't even try to pressure us into looking at a more expensive one.

Their prices are really good too. The only down side I could find was their opening hours. They don't seem to open on Sunday.

They are also really good on prices and we couldn't beat the price on the system we chose. Free delivery too if you buy online.

MOthercare are utter rubbish and totally overpriced.

by the way ive now decided to buy the stroller i wanted second hand. so mothercare shame on you for missing a trick. how do they stay open?????
why isnt someone from head office doing something to help us spend our money there. never in my life have i had such bad customer service from a shop. its madness.
ive found the stroller i wanted for sale locally 4 months old and for only £80 ono going tomorrow to view it. would rather give the money to ANYONE other than spend it at Mother dont care!!!!!!

The problem is there isn't actually taht much choice for baby stuff under one roof on the high st. Mother-couldn't-give-a-toss takes advantage of this. I think last year their profits did particularly well. I personally would never shop there fue to crap service and dirty looking store.

went to see the second hand stroller today and got a 4 months old double silver cross pop duo in pristine condition with all the extras for only £65!!!!!!(would have spent £250 in MC had i had the service i deserved) what a bargain. i must admit id visit a mc store again just to check products out in the hand so to speak then look for items second hand or online. i know if i go to mc i wont be harassed by sales assistants wanting to fall over themselves helping me or pushing for a sale so i know ill be safe looking at my leasure and walking out!!!!!!
