Haggis

I am really in the mood for some haggis. But it contains liver. I am thinking this means I can't eat it. Of course it has lungs and heart too but not sure if this is enough to "dilute" the liver down?

Anyone know the bottom line?

Ah yeah. Think I ate it a few times, didn't even think about it to be honest.

You going to a Burns supper?

Not going to a Burn's supper.. just Scottish! Although there are probably more in the shops at the moment which may have put it in my head.

I asked my MW about this and she said that eating liver is fine so long as it's only once in a while and not every other day. I am dying for some haggis, neeps and tatties so am definitely off to get one this weekend. :-)

Yay all this is sounding good!

My poor DH I've gone right off the idea of haggis. He had to have some at his parents place!

I've eaten haggis a few times through both my pregnancies without even thinking about it, unless liver causes the baby to turn into an extremely stroppy 3 year old with ocd tendencies when it comes to dinosaurs then I don't think there's been any effects!

I've had it a couple of times since I've been pregnant (I'm Scottish too and love haggis). I also plan to have my Burns supper as normal - DH would be devastated if I didn't make it.
