Continually raised leukocytes in urine

I'm currently 28+3 with DC1 and at every antenatal appointment I've had I've had leukocytes in my urine. Every time I'm asked if I have a urinary tract infection 'Does it sting when you wee?' and the answer's always no.

Is it possible to have completely symptomless thrush? Or could something else be causing it?

Anyone else had this?

Its likely that the sample is getting contaminated by normal vaginal discharge. If you have no symptoms of a UTI/thrush, this is likely to be the explanation.

Make sure that you try and do a clear sample thats taken mid way through your wee! (and don't let the container you are using touch your body).

What MJM said, but before you wee in the pot have a quick wash and dry. I had the same thing and the hospital midwives described it as the 'normal flora and fauna of that area' Grin
(sorry if TMI!)

Have you spoken to your GP about this?

Nope, the midwives don't seem too concerned or anything I was just worried in case I should be treating myself for thrush or something. As I said, there's no stinging, no itch, no nothing.

Ahem... Discharge theory could be correct actually, good suggestion.

When one posts about one's wee it's never TMI.
