you could gently encourage things from about 38/39 weeks, but you cannot make yourslef go into labour as has been said.

you might know lots of people who've had prem babies who've been ok, but as psoters on here have said ,it often isnt ok

and you are very defensive bearing in mind a poster has just shared that she lost a baby as it was born too early

concentrate on how to make yourself comfy and feel better rather than wishing for a prem baby

I understand how you must feel, I was totally fed up by week 32, I'm now 39+2 and glad that he's still in there cause I've read/heard some sad stories and tbh I'd much prefer to have an overdue baby that's healthy than put my son at risk having him early.

But like I said, I do understand as the pain can be unbearable and that can make pregnancy a sucky experience

if your waters are leaking you must get in touch with midwife ASAP as risk of infection.
Hope its just a false alarm

Al1son · 20/01/2011 13:58

I second that. You must let your midwife know about your waters today.

Lulumaam · 20/01/2011 14:07

did you speak to the MW?

a leak of waters can be from higher up behind hte baby's head and is not the same as the waters actally breaking, but if it was definitely waters and not wee/discharge, you need to see someone today
