As soon as I can express milk I plan on making a few bottles and the geting wankered (although saying that one glass probably will floor me now!) I'm notmuch of a drinker normally but have been teetotal and look forward to a couple glasses of celebratory champagne Grin)

This will be indulged in with a plate full of stinking French cheese.

Me:
Not waddling like a duck that's pooped itself!
Rare steak and blue cheese.
JAck Daniels and coke
High Heels
No Heartburn
Being able to eat a full meal without feeling like I'm going to burst
A full nights sleep on my tummy.

DH is looking forward to:
Not having to do all the housework
Probably sex, although he doens't seem too bothered by the lack of it at the minute :o

A massive raw rare steak
Brie and salami
Being able to pick things up off the floor and put my own socks on
Being able to turn over in bed in one go and not three stages.
Having the energy to do something with DD instead of just flaking out on the sofa and sticking CBeebies on.
Dyeing my hair.

Eating raw meat and fish again and shopping for normal clothes. Even good maternity wear is bad and I miss proper fashion [shallow emoticon].

LDNlady · 10/01/2011 19:49

youngblowfish If you're talking about raw fish as in sushi then you ate allowed to eat it from restaurants as the fish has been frozen before hand and kills off the nasties that will cause any problems. I am a massive sushi fan and was OVER THE MOON to discover this. :)

Crystylline · 10/01/2011 19:58

Port and Stilton!

Not having to get up a million times a night for a wee

Not having horrible heartburn

Shaving my legs easily

A really hot bath

My wardrobe

cowboylover · 10/01/2011 20:03

Wine, good Cheese, sex and sleeping!

youngblowfish · 10/01/2011 20:03

LDNlady, I read about it and would be relaxed enough to gorge myself on sushi. DH, however, is a medic who deals with bad neonatal outcomes, so tends to be more cautious. Since it is his child as well, I am resigned to sushi-less existence for a few more months, despite the fact that I accept it would probably be perfectly safe to have it.

TBH, I would be happy to ignore most of the dietary advice, as I am generally a healthy optimist, very low-risk for everything and think the dangers are minuscule for me and the baby. However, I don't tend to 25 weekers with overwhelming infections for a living and I don't want to stress DH out needlessly.

I find smoked salmon and caviar make me miss sushi less :).

Booze and not having to get up a million times a night for a wee.

LotteryWinnersOnAcid · 10/01/2011 22:48

I think I will miss my bump a bit. :( But I am still looking forward to wearing my skinny jeans again, with pretty flats (currently living in roomy Uggs as my feet are so fat) and tshirts that are a normal length rather than having to choose between the only two I have long enough that cover my bump!

knittakid · 11/01/2011 05:48

sex and cycling.

HarleyQuinn · 11/01/2011 08:12

Sleeping on my stomach, a nice pint of cider or glass of wine, sex without the bump!

PenguinsMummy · 11/01/2011 09:11

Not having to wee constantly
Not having heartburn
Sleeping on my stomach
Wine
Not having constant comments about how large I am by everyone

skandi1 · 11/01/2011 09:28

eating tons and tons of sushi

i would add not weeing in the night and being able turn easily in bed but these were still issues months after birth with DD so have lowered expectations this time.

youngblowfish · 11/01/2011 15:18

Also, am I the only one missing chicken livers? They are my favourite starter, lightly pan-fried on a bed of rocket and balsamic vinegar...

diyqueen · 12/01/2011 17:27

Maternity leave! Though I may be totally deluded and be longing to go back to work before the first week's up, of course!

TooImmature2BMum · 12/01/2011 19:45

Oooh, maternity leave too!

Pate
Sleeping on my tummy, or lying on my back without feeling guilty/getting heartburn
Not aching randomly in the pelvic region. It's not bad enough to be full blown SPD, but it is still annoying.

Fitting back into normal clothes, not finding that my wearable wardrobe is getting smaller and smaller by the week.
High heels! I just bought some 11cm heeled boots in the sale and I can't actually wear them. By the time I will be able to wear them without my back killing me it will be summer and not boot weather Sad

Sex is not a problem as we just do it doggy-style! Grin

sam26oscar · 12/01/2011 21:35

Being able to breathe deeply after eating a meal.

Put pants and socks on with out getting BH

Turn over in bed without the turning arc of the QE2!!

Not feel like someone is giving my skin chinese burns with the stretching!!

RockLover · 12/01/2011 21:41

Being able to walk without hurting all over and being able to eat without continuous heartburn.

Ooh and looking forward to not feeling sick every day!

1Catherine1 · 12/01/2011 21:46

Starter: Prawn cocktail
Main A medium rare steak with fried onion gravy and chips (-followed by no indigestion)
Desert a slice of chocolate gateau (I can have that now but not usually after a starter and a main as I tend to be full by then so even attempting it makes me feel sick)
