Arghhh, we're on BBC London in 20 mins, talking to Vanessa Feltz about spanx for mums to be.

What do you think? Please can we get any thoughts ASAP.

Many thanks

haha! yup, avoided that one.

When they wrapped me up after the birth I felt as though I was going to faint as well, and actually it made the bleeding worse!

So I politely declined and was au naturel all the way. They try to peddle you some spanx-type stuff for flattening your stomach but the best thing ever is breastfeeding- nothing can beat it for shrinking your womb and flattening your stomach Smile

Sorry Girls I just love love LOVE the idea of pregnancy spanx. As a curvy girl before getting pregnant I have frequently used Spanx for nights out and to make clothes hang better.

From what I can see maternity Spanx do not constrict your bump at all, nor will they hide it (despite what Amanda Holden seems to be saying) For me they are about holding in the back fat and wobbly butt cheeks, which lets face it pregnant or not, I am not proud of, nor do I want to let it all hang out all of the time.

Lounging on the sofa in leggings an t-shirts is one thing, but if I have to go in a dress to a wedding or special event before this baby comes I will def be investing in a pair.

I Only stopped wearing regular Spanx at about 10 weeks, (am 16+4 today) and to be honest bump is still more flab than baby. I am praying bump suddenly grows in next few weeks so I actually look pregnant. I cant wait to have a proper bump and wouldn't want to hide it, however sucking everything else in can only make the bump look better (IMO)

Perhaps it's because I'm a woman, not a girl, that I find them so vulgar

So not only do we have to look slim and sexy pre/post pregnancy we now have to do it while pregnant??! God help us

I know, it makes me feel a bit ill tbh
pregnant women have enough to worry about without them implanting this new worry in their heads
