I got a bfp this morning Smile

Do they like to give it after 12weeks or at any time?

Tia.

I've had mine at the booking appointment at 8 weeks.

Oh thanks I have been looking on here this morning to find out as I got a +vebyesterday. Big congrats!

congrats on the bfp's!! I went to the docs to get my pg confirmed a couple of days ago and she booked me to have mine this Monday as stocks running low - might be worth asking your GP to be sure.

Congrats LoveBeingADaddysGirl

Thanks I will give gp a ring on Monday, fingers crossed they have the jab, I'm worried this time round.

They have changed it from last year according to my GP. You had to be in 2nd trimester but they are advising you get it asap this time. Had to go back after 1st appointment though as the nurse didn't know about this change and leaflet with vaccine still said after 12weeks. But then they did give me it, after everything in the news i would go for it and i must be honest i was always quite wary about vaccines but after contracting flu went for it.

Congratulations, good luck on getting it though. I got the very last jab at my surgery the other day! Stocks are running low everywhere due to the media reports.

Ooops just noticed my typo in the title Blush

There is a walk in docs at my local hospital, its open 8 till 8, 7 days a week, i wonder if they are giving it out.

After much thought, I went to get the jab yesterday, at 26 weeks. I asked whether it was more important to have it in the early weeks - the nurse said anytime from 1 to 37 weeks. She really put me at ease saying I was doing the very best I could for the baby / myself. All the best for a happy healthy pregnancy.

the only reason doctors sometimes advise you not to have a jab in the first 12 weeks is that risk of miscarriage is high in that period and they don't want you to falsely attribute it to the jab and cause yourself emotional distress. it's fine to have it though
