pinkapples i didn't feel positive either. I started clomid after 2.5 yrs or so of ttc. By the time cycle 5 finished with no positive result i decided to try acupuncture with a fertility specialist and whether it was that or just my change in feeling more optimistic my last month of clomid was successful and am now 3 months pregnant. I still can't believe it!! And do wish you luck. I still feel i'm in your shoes as for so long just didn't believe anything would happen but i'm so glad it did

My clomid baby is now 28 months :)

2 daughters in their 20's and a little boy born sleeping at term in 2007. I felt I was aging very fast and knew I had a luteal phase problem and was ovulating very late. Anyway a wonderful consultant prescribed clomid for me and month 1 after DH ricked his back and we managed 1 - yes 1, babydance during the whole month (which happened to be Christmas Eve) we got our longed for BFP :)

Sending many positive vibes

pinkapples like you, I didn't feel remotely positive. I struggled with infertility for a long time after a nasty miscarriage skewed my hormones, or at least I think that was the case. I never really got a clear diagnosis and don't think even the specialists knew.

Having said that, the clomid worked for me and I fell pg on the first cycle. Quite a shock because I didn't think I'd ever work again!

Best of luck to you. I will keep everything crossed that it's your turn next.

Hi we had been trying off a baby for about 2 years and they couldn't find anything wrong so put me on clomid. It worked first time for us but unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 9 wks. Since then I have taken it 3 more times, the first month it didn't work, then it did but I had another miscarriage and now finally I am pregnant again, we've just had the 20wk scan and so far so good. Really hope it all works out for you, I think it's great stuff! (I should point out that the miscarriages had nothing to do with the clomid as there is no link, just incase you were worried)

Hi, I took Clomid for three cycles & fell pregnant in the month after my third go. I too had unexplained fertility issues, DP's tests came back normal & I had ovary scan & blood tests which also came back normal. It was very frustrating so I understand how you must feel.

Unfortunately I had most of the side effects listed, it really did make me feel rotten - but something must have worked & I am now 18 weeks P.

Good luck!

I know how hopeless it feels, but I am now 23 weeks pregnant after my second cycle of clomid. I didn't ever want to get my hopes up and believe it would work, but it has for me and I really hope it does for you too.

Clomid is an amazing drug! I am a clomid baby myself (and I'm 33). Got pregnant on 3rd cycle with DD1 and on first with DD2. Best of luck, will keep fingers and toes crossed for you.

Hey Pinkapples! Unlike you I was very positive when I first started clomid as my gynae told me that all the girls she had whos only problem was not ovulating properly only needed about 3 cycles. Having already been trying for over 2 years I was sure it was the answer, fast forward 9 months and still nothing! I was so depressed and went back to see my gynae who couldnt understand it and told me I could only have another 4 months worth and then it would be ivf (which I would of had to pay for cos I have 1 DS and im under 30) so I had a nice suprise at the end of that month with a BFP! Im now 27 weeks pg.

I thought it would never happen, even when I read other peoples success stories. But I think its important to stay positive and as un-stressed as possible (easier said than done!) and it will happen when the time is right.

Good luck and bag fulls of baby dust *
