I am 12 weeks now. I have a bump which is made up of podge from the last pregnancy, chocolate and a bit extra which might be this pregnancy or more chocolate.
Anyway just wondered if I could be squashing the baby yet or will it be ok for a bit?

Many thanks Smile

IM (non medical)O you can sleep on your tum until it becomes uncomfortable/physically impossible.

I slept on my front until the end, albeit with my legs under me (sort of kneeling) after about 6 months!

Yes I would say the same, until you are uncomfortable. Your baby will tell you if he or she wants you to move! I am 31+3 and I only stopped about a month ago.

Just asked my sister whose a midwife, she said you can sleep on your belly as long as it is comfortable.

I stopped at about 24 weeks cos baby started kicking the crap out of me and I took the hint!

I still sleep on my front at 36 weeks, but this is my third pregnancy, with my first I stopped as soon as I felt a slight bump Wink

i slept on my tummy all the way through last two times, well kind of on my side with a pillow under one side. Its the only way I can sleep!! Am 23 weeks now and the baby is kicking me a lot now so I'm having to shift around more!!!

At 33 wks I still try to get away with sleeping in my favourite position which is on my left side, bottom leg straight out but right leg bent, with knee and belly (kind of) pointed down. I just put a medium cushion between knees and small cushion at top of bump to ease any pressure and to give my now massive belly a bit of a 'gap'. Mind you I am quick to change position if I feel any little limbs wriggling underneath, it's so weird!

But yes, baby will let you know if it's inconvenient and no matter how tired you are you will always roll over if need be.

I'm 15 weeks today & finding lying on my stomach increasingly uncomfortable, however I love to lie like hoolabombshell, more like this shape /o with bump being the "o", and one leg straight with the other bent at a right angle to give extra support! DP doesn't appreciate my bent leg taking over his side of the bed though!

Oh lovely! Thanks for all your replies... will carry on until it doesn't feel right!

Thanks again Smile
