Hi
My friend just called me all stressed and said the doctors receptionist just called to say she must got to the surgery tomorrow for rubella jab.
She quickly called me and then had to go to a meeting so asked if I could help her.
She has been trying for her first baby for a few months and mentioned it to her gp whilst there for other reasons, he gp said he should check that she has had rubella done because she cant remember getting it done at school. she is in her mid thirties.
If she is in the early stages of pregnancy then what does this mean? She is not due her period for another week so cant test.
Could she still get the jab whilst pregnant? Can this effect her child? If pregnant would she have to abort?
She is also upset that the recetionist said she will have to wait three months before ttc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
