baby is still breech at 36weeks :( I have a scan tomorrow to see whats what. i am hoping they will try ECV before we go down c-section route.

has anyone had one? can you tell me about it please?

so far i have been propped up all night on pillows, hung upside down, scrubbed floors, crawled about on al floors, been in some rather strange positions to try and move him, but its just not working.

Well basically he is a broad baby, probably never was breech just picking up heartbeat higher.

Hopefullhy he will stay head down now, and now I can focus on the birth.

Well done, misdee! I'm really pleased for you. Tell him to tell mine to turn too, please! I have an ECV booked for tuesday and am bricking it. DS2 has been breech for at least 2.5 months as far as I can tell, and evidently likes it that way. Hmm

I was quite relaxed about it at first (the ECV) and then started reading accounts of it - the words 'brutal' and 'violent' and consultants sweating with the effort of it come up a lot. Sad Also, call me bloody stupid, but I'm scared about the relaxant injection too (needlephobe) and am really hoping it isn't in the tummy. Different hospitals do it different ways, apparently. But I think if they offer drugs I should take them, because it'll give it a higher chance of working. My bump tenses up something rotten, especially when I'm stressed.

I had a scan yesterday (36 weeks) and this one is breech, too. I've got ECV booked for next Friday - I was about to post myself and saw this thread.

I'd been planning a home birth (I have 3 DCs already and a non-driving DH) so it's much easier for us at home. But unless this one moves, there's little chance of that now and I just don't know what to do.

The MW who will be delivering says she's not bothered that he's breech - but wouldn't attempt a HB now it's diagnosed. He's also a whopper - likely to be around 10lbs if he goes to 4 weeks.

So, I'm scared now I've read all these - but happy for you misdee that your baby is head down.

Has anyone looked at the Spinning Babies website?

Any good?
