I am in an extremely invidious position at work, colleague who I feel has been out to 'skulp me' has put in a grievance, unfounded. I am 10 weeks pg, i lost my last baby mc and am terrified that the stress will push things over the edge and I will lose the baby.
I was planning to take my mat leave early which with holiday owing I was leaving work mid December. Should I stick it out and hope for the best or go off sick, they don't know I am pg at work yet.
I do not want to loose the baby and to be honest I am not coping well with the stress, sleeping and eating already affected and it has only been going on one week.
Anyone got advice? ( i have changed my post name for this due to paranoia!!)

You shouldn't have to put up with stress like that at work - pregnant or not. Is there anyone at work that you can talk to to try & sort out the stressful situation ? Does your company have a stress policy - its a very hot topic at the moment.

No they don't whizz. Just so worried about the effect on the baby

I'm not a medical person so can't help on that aspect - but I'm sure someone will come along with some advice on here.
I am a Health & safety person though & you should not have to suffer work related stress like that. Can you talk to someone about the grievance ? Maybe so that doesn't drag on - if its unfounded it sounds as though its best trying to sort it out as soon as possible so that you can move on.

Thanks for the support, I am just finding it so hard and feel so alone.

congratulations on your pg by the way .

It sounds like you may be adding to your own stress levels with extra worries about the baby? Do you have a partner/ best friend to share this with? It sounds like your main worry is your baby not your job, so I would suggest taking a course of action that will aleviate that bit of stress, which may mean going off sick.

I hope you manage to find some time to enjoy being pregnant x

I am loathe to do it, take time off sick, as responsibilities of job etc... But I am most worried about the baby and do not want to loose it and given that my workplace has in the past dealt with similar situations in a shambolic way this worries me too, also worried that stress could lead to complications such as pre ecampsia which did not get with first child.
Have talked it over with friends, they all say remove yourself from it and carry on as normal.

You should not have to go off sick to alleviate the stress, legally your company has to do something about it. Get this grievance thing sorted out as quickly as possible. Can you get some support from colleagues or family/friends ?
It does sound as though you are already worrying yourself sick about it all - maybe you could talk to your doctor to get a proper medical opinion of what high stress levels can or can't do to your baby.
