Hi everybody! I am currently 15 + 3, and already have awful SPD. My GP, Physio and Occupational Therapist have been excellent, but I am already in a wheelchair Sad. I am currently petitioning Kent County Council to change their policy about blue disabled parking badges. Kent County Council does not issue parking badges unless you have a permanent disability. This means that I can't go grocery shopping, or Christmas shopping without having somebody with me to drop me in the high street and then park. I need 12000 votes to prompt a debate. Please would you support me by signing the e-petition? It can be found at democracy.kent.gov.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?ID=12

Is anybody else in the same position as me? It is so frustrating having to reply on everybody!!

Signed. I completely support you and feel that temporary badges should be issued in cases like these. Even if you do not achieve this for yourself, I hope you can make your voice heard for the future.

Funnily enough we have been talking about pregnant women parking in parent and toddler bays on out ante-natal thread, so far everyone has agreed when we are bigger space may be needed- in your case I say go for it. I dare anyone to say anything!

Good luck.

signed! had spd, but only at 38 weeks and could still hobble/shuffle. can't imagine what you're going through - big hugs xxx

thank you cardamomginger - all hugs are gratefully received! So many women suffer from SPD - the petition will probably be too late for me but I am sure that some other pregnant woman in the future will benefit! Luckily Occupational Therapy have been fab, and my house now looks like an OAP home!

I'm all for this...I already have a blue badge as my son has autism and I have spd. I wouldn't be abe to go ANYWHERE if it wasnt for his badge. Off to sign coz it's not fair...

Thank you bettywobble! Its true - i cant go anywhere! Its tres rubbish! Any idea how I can go about drumming up more Mummy support for this? I need 12000 signatures!
