Ok so I was a size 14-16 (closer to 16) before I got pregnant after going up from a size 12 Blush. But now I am 30 weeks pregnant I look like a flipping Bhudda!

I had a spare typre/muffin top type affair around my lower belly which is still there and it looks minging! I am so terrified of what I will look like after the birth, as I am pretty sure I have have put on a little more weight than I should have due to my shocking diet.

Even now I am having to eat crap to try and stave of the horrible nausea and I am fed up. I have a lovely round bump at the top, then this hideous roll of fat at the bottom, I hate it!

I have a pair of size 14 maternity jeans that fit very well BUT I had to try on about a billion pairs until I found these in New Look, at other shops (Mothercare & H & M) they were either too small, even at a size 16 or cut me in half. I remember how depressed I was with my body after I had DD as I had to go up to a size 18, so I am dreading it this time.

I would love to do exercise, but I am too knackered and feel sick if I do too much, it's all rather rubbish.

Please tell me I'm not the only one worrying about what a lardarse they are!

Nope not the only one at all.

My weight seems to be going on my thighs and I hate it - every time I sit down they seem to squish and spread. Also got back fat starting to appear!

Rocklover · 21/11/2010 15:59

Oooh, me too with the back fat syndrome, it's all so depressing!

Urk, I've got the back fat too :(

mrsbigw · 21/11/2010 19:39

Perhaps all you can do for now is make plans for what you will do about it post birth. I don't mean a mad diet but you can look into finding a child friendly gym to join or plan a post natal healthy eating plan.

I have got back fat now already (12 weeks) & I hate it too.

Tarlia · 21/11/2010 20:31

Gyms?? Cake = milk don't cha know Wink or so I hope Grin

kelly2525 · 21/11/2010 20:41

Rock Are you me???? I have the same belly, I keep hoping the top belly will grow bigger and join up with the bottom belly Grin

As im 32 (or is it 33) weeks, I think that ship has sailed.

Enjoy it, you`re growing a baby, theres loads of time to diet/exercise afterwards.

Slimming World here I come (in February after ive savoured several large gin and tonics and a kilo or five of blue cheese in January)

Rocklover · 21/11/2010 20:47

It's nice to know I'm not alone. With dd it took me about 2 years to get the weight off and that was after putting on a stone post birth Blush.

I am seriously going to have to change my diet when baby is here, but at the moment the things that help with my nausea are Quavers crisps and chocolate Hobnobs...seriously!

But then when I am feeling ok, I can't seem to resist calorific desserts and full fat yoghurts. I am doomed....DOOMED! :)

Awwwww Rock, you`ll do it, it could be worse, I lost three stone last year and at the start of this, then got pregnant (by a complete arsehole)

So ive just about put most of it back on, cos im either comfort eating or craving, but its not gone onto my belly, mostly on my arse, back, hips and thighs, oh and i now have two chins Grin

But for the first time since I was 11, im not worried about my weight, im not swallowing handfuls of laxatives, not worried about eating in public, not obsessed with calories and fat grams etc, and it feels so liberating

Rocklover · 21/11/2010 23:08

I have two chins as well! Ah the joy.

Depressingly I'm still going to the gym in a bid to keep excess weight where it belongs but seemingly to no avail :(

Oh well, at least I'll be fit for labour. I hope.

waves to rocklover

yes I now not only have a big tum but also arm fat, back fat, neck fat and leg fat. I thought tummy bumps were nice and hard when pg but mine is all squishy with the big overhand at the bottom. I have to eat so often for the nausea too :( I'm trying to eat good stuff when I can, but inevitably reach for chocolate etc alot as it's all I can manage. Think I'll be working out for years to get this fat off :(

Rocklover · 22/11/2010 09:12

Well, at least we all know our lovely babies are being well fed and that's the main thing. :).

Waves back at angels.

oh yeah, rocklover forgot to say - I'm totally depressed with the clothes sizing thing too. I would advise against going into h&m - I had to buy a pair of maternity jeans in there last week and the only pair to fit were a size 20 Blush (I'm pre preg size 16). The ONLY thing that made me feel a bit better is that clearly it's h&ms manic sizing to blame and not me as my size 16 mat jeans from peacocks fit fine Hmm (well, that's what I tell myself anyway Confused ).

Rocklover · 22/11/2010 13:45

Yeah, H & M clothes were ridiculously small and cut for fashion NOT for pregnancy. The trousers I tried on made the flab at the bottom of my bump look even worse, it was cut in half.

It took me 2 hours to find the jeans in New Look! Today I have been into town (yay) and I still feel ok, but celebrated my triumph with a shop bought sandwich and an almond croissant. I could feel my flab multiplying as I ate it. Bugger!

Well, as I read this I'm munching on a choc chip shortbread biscuit Blush

Rocklover · 22/11/2010 15:50

I have given up all hope of healthy eating now, at least I only have 10 weeks to go. Saying that, I could do alot of damage in 10 weeks especially as Christmas is on it's way.

I am WAY too partial to warmed mince pies with cream (I'm actually salivating at the thought)!
