My daughter will be 35 weeks pregnant with her first baby by Christmas and I haven't a clue what to get her for Christmas!

I will probably fall back on vouchers for after baby's born but really I'd prefer to get her something better. But even her feet have swelled. She's 31. Any ideas please?

Just seen that you say in an earlier post that she loves Uggs- in that case they would make a super present!

If something is described as Marmite then people either love it or hate it :)

I'd go with pedicure. I can barely reach my feet and would love a treat like that.

I also can't wait to wear lovely sexy pretty underwear again but obviously it's anyone's guess what your daughter's bra size will be after baby is born so maybe the pyjama idea is better.

A cheapo portable DVD player and a box set of her favourite show - for when she's up feeding all night!

Thanks PGWomble...I should've realised that!

Also thanks to Gallic girl. You must think I'm a bit dozy not to realise what Marmite means!!

I'm really made up with all those brilliant ideas though.

I'll go into town tomorrow and arm myself with a list of the suggestions, see what I can find.

You've all been soooo helpful.

lucy just in case she doesn't come back - marmite is a you either love it or hate it expression.

I'll be 35 weeks with number 2 on Christmas day too and alot of the things suggested would suit me. Boots, bags, nice cardi for winter snuggles with you're new baby etc. are great. My mum has got me a couple of nice tops and some PJ's in a larger size so I can get out of maternity wear asap and I've asked for vouchers from other people as I don't want my own body weight in bubble bath - who has time for lounging in the bath with 2 kids to look after?

Also if there are any TV series she might like on DVD. You spend an awful lot of time on you sofa with a newbie, especially in winter, but don't necessarily have the concentation etc. for a full film. DH has got me the first 4 seasons of 30 Rock and last time my friend got me lots of old Northern Exposure DVD's second hand and they entertained and kept me away from Jeremy Kyle and such like.

I got my SIL some nice 'mum to be' products from the sanctuary range, to papmer herself. She loved them!
