We have our first scan tomorrow and am planning on taking our 5 year old son with us. He seems really keen to go and I wont to get him invloved so he doesnt feel left out. As anyone else taken their children into a scan with them? What are your views on this?

Although when I went for my first scan I was not in a good way as I thought I had miscarried (thankfully I hadn't) but I did find the other children there a welcome distraction - very personal thing in that respect.

I had the scan yesterday and decided to take my son with me. Thankfully everything with the baby was OK (although dates slightly out so only 10+4 rather then 12). My son was really really good and was very interested and the lady doing the scan had no issue with him being there. He was very excited when he saw the new baby on the screen. I do realise why some of you advised not to take him but I am now glad I did. Thanks for all your advise
