Pregnancy

I am fretting about my pregnancy because of my age. (37)

Can anyone reassure me?
Have been reading up on risks (silly me) and I'm now convinced this pregnancy is doomed.
I'm 37 btw.
I'm only just pregnant.
Argh. Can anyone tell me anything positive just to stop the anxiety?
I know it won't stop anything dreadful from happening but at least it might stop me from fretting!

TIA Smile

Hi and congratulations!

I had my 1st DD 15 months ago when I was 42 and everything was fine. I found I worried all through the pregnancy and now realise that I didn't enjoy this wonderful experience as much as I should have. Hindsight ehh!

My advise would be relax and enjoy every moment.

Stottie I was 37 when I had my son. I am 40 (only just!) now and he is 2. I was horrifically sick and he was breech - but neither of those are to do with mother's age. Otherwise v straightforward pregnancy.

Congratulations. I was 37 when I had my DD and had a perfect pregnancy. No MS, no issues whatsoever. I have found out this week that I am expecting no 2 (I am now 40) and the only difference with this pregnancy is that we will definitely have a CVS when we have our Nuchal, due to the increased risk that goes with my age.

Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy
