Someone tell me I'm being ridiculous

Am 18+1 with DC1.

I've needed to wee three times in the last hour and I feel really woozy. After the bump feeling heavy and uncomfortable for weeks I suddenly feel lighter and far comfier. Nothing's wrong right?

I'm sure I'm panicking over nothing but reassurance would be nice...

you're probably being ridiculous, but any woozy feelings should be checked out by a doc or MW.

Don't think there's anything at all to worry about the bump feeling different - it will feel different again in a few weeks, but get the woozy feeling checked out just in case your blood pressure's being silly.

Good point. Thanks, I'm sure I'm being silly, I'm just super paranoid today for some reason.

at around this time it is normal for bp to drop which can result in you feeling woozy,
As for weeing 3x hour if this isn't normal for you it may be a urine infection -any back pain or stinging when you pee? Maybe call mw she what they say. it is most likelt nothing just pregnancy can make you feel odd!

No stinging, mw says all my iron levels etc are exceptionally good. I just feel so wimpy.

Everyone freaks out occasionally during their first pregnancy right? I'm not exceptionally pathetic?

No way hozay, I'm at least as pathetic as you... I'm 20 weeks - and a couple of weeks ago I came over all woozy getting off the train. Didn't faint, and there wasn't a problem. But I got myself all wound up and paranoid, so ended up going to the GP and checking baby's heartbeat. GP clearly thought I was crazy pregnant lady, and barely managed not to roll his eyes. Oh and he said the wooziness was normal (although of course you should still get this checked out).

Yes (in case it wasn't completely obvious) I'm a first-timer too... For what it's worth, I'm feeling like my bump is somehow more manageable now than it was a few weeks ago. I mean, it's bigger than it was before (obviously), but I think I feel like the weight has shifted up - so doesn't feel so heavy?

Cyclebump · 02/11/2010 14:38

Ooh, maybe that's it. Glad I'm not the only one being a bit mad. Am so annoyed with myself, have been relatively laid back (I thought) and have now ruined it!

Wooziness, dizzyness, light-headness and fainting all pretty common in pregnant ladies especially at this stage. I am 27 weeks and get dizzy most days especially after getting up. I don't think it's a cause for concern, you just have to be careful and eat regularly so that you blood sugar remains constant. And don't forget to drink plenty to as being dehydrated can make you feel a bit woozy.

Cyclebump · 02/11/2010 14:48

Everyone's being so nice, I was sure I'd get at least one web-based slap and be told to stop being so silly!

Thanks everyone, wooziness has passed and I feel greatly reassured. Smile

I'd get checked for a UTI though - symptoms can be different & easily missed when pg and they can be serious.
