I went on my own for 20 week scan when I was pregnant with dd and I found out the sex. I rang DH in the carpark to tell him - it was still lovely, just different. Hope it goes well and look forward to hearing about it tomorrow.

I went on my own for our 4th. dh didn't want to know if it wasn't a boy! Fortunately he loves dd4 nevertheless.

My dh has only ever made it to 1 scan in all four of my pregnancies and that was the 20 week scan for no4. He wasn't there when I had CVS either.
I would've liked him to be there for the first, but as he was hundreds of miles away under the sea (submariner) it wasn't possible and to be honest for most of the others it didn't really occur to me to have him along.
But for the scan he did go to, my very last ever one, I thought it would be nice for him to see what it was like, and he really, really liked it.
Anwya, I'm waffling here. Think what I'm trying to say is 'Yes' it is a bit of a shame, but it's not the end of the world.
Like cooperoo's idea about the envelope too though.
