Am 34 weeks tomorrow

Had MW appt this morning, told her I'd been having lots of BH - she said it was normal, which I agree with - then I toddle off, and 2 hours later, huge show - like what I had with DD, except that was a t term and I had her the next day.

Rang hospital (MW phone off) and the MW at hospital says to not worry, as I should expect lots of mucas, urr...well that as maybe, but not a massive slug of snot!!!!!

She said not to worry unless my waters break

I had some bleeding at 26 weeks, was given steriods

Had some strong BH all day, and low back ache

should I be worried??

If I were you, I would be ringing again and saying you are worried regardless of what she says. Ask to come in for an hour or twos monitoring. That will either put your mind at rest or get you in the right place if that's where you need to be.

If the backache is not 'normal' for you and feels anything like you know labour feels then I'd be a bit stroppy.

If you are still worried and they give you another brush off then I'd just go in and demand monitoring.

Assert your rights! Hope all's well.

I wouldn't necessarily worry but as someone who went into labour at 36 weeks and then at 34 weeks without waters breaking I would ignore the MW and tell them you're coming in to be monitored anyway.
The BH probably doesn't maen anything but the show might.
Better to put your mind at rest I'd say. Good Luck!
