Boobs don't hurt so much??

Hi there,

I got my BFP on Thursday (I think 9 or 10dpo) after noticing (on Wednesday) that my boobs were sore. On Thursday the line was so faint you had to squint to see it, but on Friday I did a digi that said Pregnant 1-2 weeks. My boobs were really really sore in my bra and if they jiggled on Friday. Yesterday (Saturday) they didn't feel sore during the day at all, so I did a Tesco cheapie and the line was really thick dark and pink, so I felt relieved. I also did the remaining digi (it was a two pack) this morning which still said Pregnant 1-2 weeks. But now my boobs only hurt if I jump really hard or poke them.

I know all this makes me sound mad but I had a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage last cycle, and my cycles are very long (7-9 weeks). I was due to go to the doctors and have day 3-5 and day 21 blood tests if I hadn't conceived this cycle. Anyway, last time when I lost it my boobs stopped feeling sore a couple of days before. I'm really worried I'm going to lose it again. I know what will be will be, but I just wondered - does boob soreness fluctuate this early in pregnancy? Or is this a likely sign I'm miscarrying again?

Thank you.

In the first trimester I found sometimes my boobs hurt and sometimes they were perfectly fine. Now (18 weeks) my boobs only really hurt when it gets cold - and god do they hurt then. That much so that I will wear a coat even though the rest of me is burning up just to keep them warm.

There was a thread on here about a month ago where a couple of woman were also concerned of the same thing and even mentioned the strange looks they got off their DP when they would touch their boobs just to be reassured they they were still sore. I wouldn't worry about it. From all the comments I've seen on here I think its pretty normal :) Well... as normal as MNers get :o

oh.. and congratulations :)

Thank you so much for the reassurance 1Catherine1. I'm just so afraid that I'm losing my symptoms. Can't bear to start another 9-week cycle all over again!

Feel free to keep telling me this is normal people Smile (or otherwise if necessary)!

Be careful what you wish for. Breast pain can fluctuate wildly during pregnancy. I would bet within a couple of weeks you'll be puking for England :)

Hi Takethat, sounds normal to me, fingers and everything else crossed for you. Oh and congratulations!

Hi, just an update in case anyone ever reads this thread again. At the moment I am still pregnant :) Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I don't have any symptoms yet except for the sore boobs and a very clicky and achey back (all over and in different places at different times). You ladies were absolutely right, it comes and goes. After Sunday's relatively pain-free day yesterday they hurt at work but eased off in the evening. This morning they hurt, then all morning nothing, and about ten minutes ago I poked them and I wish I hadn't because now they're screaming at me to leave them alone Grin.

So the upshot is - for anyone who's worrying about this, even if I do go on to have another mc now the fluctuating boob pain is not anything to do with it. It just comes and goes.

Today was my milestone day. I miscarried at this point last time and my preg test said 'Not Pregnant'. Today it said 'Pregnant' within 30 seconds, which is much quicker than on Saturday, and then waited bloomin' ages to come up with '1-2 weeks'. I hope that means it was deciding just how pregnant it thinks I am and it was a hard call :)

Hope your pregnancies are all going well ladies, and thank you so much for the reassurance.
