Ooh this pregnancy is not turning out to be an easy one...

I started feeling really nauseous last night and had a terrible stomach ache all night. This morning I woke up feeling really wobbly and had a sip of tea and then threw up for ages.

Later in the day threw up a sip of water. About an hour later I tried to have half a small glass of coke as I was feeling terribly shaky and that made me throw up so violently that I wet myself! Blush

I've had a glass of water now and I can feel my stomach really protesting and I'm worried that I'm going to be sick again. Also have a headache and still have a very sore stomach, as well as grim backache.

Was at midwife yesterday and had leukocytes (sp?) in wee, so sample has been sent off for testing, no idea if that might be related. I feel totally grim. DP has just gone off till Friday night for work, he is the only one who drives and I am in a village with a sporadic bus service and not a drop of cash on me or in the bank till the end of the month. Tried to be all 'I'm fine' for DP as we really, really need the money from this work but now I feel a bit panicked.

Obviously I'm hoping it's just a little bug and I'll feel better tomorrow but I'm worried that I haven't been able to keep any liquids down. Baby is moving but not anywhere near as much as usual. Anyone got any ideas for keeping some 'goodness' in me? When should I be worried?

Poor you Sad, it's horrible being ill when you're pregnant.

D & V bugs aren't usually harmful during pregnancy as long as you can keep hydrated. I would probably try very small frequent sips of tepid water rather than a full glass of water and see if that's a bit easier on your tummy.

If you're worried about baby movements or you still can't keep anything down I would recommend giving your midwife a call - that's what she's there for Smile

Hiya

This could have been me writing yesterday morning. I eventually got DH to come home form work and went to the docs, who were just going to send me home and tell me to eat and drink plenty (Like I hadn't tried that!) but then changed their minds and rang the maternity ward. They wanted to keep me in overnight as I was ++keytones, leucocytes and protein. I started sipping water at about lunchtime and walked around as much as I could stand to take my mind off feeling sick and eventually started keeping water down and managing small glasses at a time. By 7:30 the keytones were gone and I had managed to eat some toast for the doctor and he let me home. So I guess my long winded advice would be to try sipping water and walking around but if you don't feel better you really should call the docs.

Hope you feel better soon x
