Machine washable cuddly toys...

I'm preparing my hospital bag at the moment and one of the things that is missing is a cuddly toy to welcome our LO into this world. We've got him lots of other colourful/interactive toys to play with, but nothing truly special.

I'd like to get him one of those fluffy teddies/bunnies/lambs/animals that last for generations. It needs to be MACHINE WASHABLE though, not just wipeable.

Can anybody recommend a brand or shop where I can find something like that?

You know you won't need toys in hospital, right?

Yes I know . But because of my GD, baby will have to stay in hospital for at least 24 hours, and I would like him to have a bit of company in case he needs to be taken away for some reason.
My main thinking was beyond the hospital though.

I bought my niece a teddy bear that was machine washable from Mothercare. I have seen that they sell other washable cuddly toys too.

Ty Pluffies are machine washable - we were given one but you can buy on ebay and amazon

I washed all the cuddly toys even the ones that said wipe clean only as long as they didn't have electrical components all of hem came out fine

i wash all teddys except the ones with batterys etc and come out lovely esp after a tumble dryer

I love the Jellycat toys - got my bump a little donkey for when he comes out - but they're stuffed with beans, or something like beans! Not sure putting the donkey in the washing machine would be a wise move, unless I wanted to give it an abdominal operation before and after. I guess the germs will strengthen his immune system...

I meant the baby's immune system, not the donkey's...
