Oh God that John Lewis advert (with the 'Always a Woman' song) gets me EVERY TIME.

And Steel Magnolias - DP was pretty amazed I was still crying at that 3 hours after it finished!

jwiggles · 05/10/2010 16:15

Well at the moment im crying with laughter reading all these, and thinking, oh my god so many have happened to me too!

I was walking around cost-co at lunchtime looking at all the Xmas things and thinking how magical Christmas's will be from now on, with a little one.... That set me off!

Then I saw they had an offer on smoked salmon and lots of lovely seafood that I have been craving and nearly fell apart then too!

I cried as the X-factor auditionees got told if they were through or not on Sunday, and then watched an old episode of 'Only fools and Horses' where Rodney gets married and sobbed my heart out!

I'm not even pregnant but the goodbye song at the end of Bear in the Big Blue House always makes me cry.

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 05/10/2010 16:30

When heavily pregnant with DD, I was in M&S and the lady wouldn't give me a refund as I didn't have the receipt. I burst into loud, dribbly, snotty, gasping sobs in front of the whole queue. I couldn't control myself! Blush It set DS off too as he couldn't work out what was happening! Blush Sad

They were so lovely and got me a cup of tea from the cafe, sat me down, played with DS while another lady kept hugging me and passing me tissues. The manager came over and couldn't stop apologising that there was nothing she could do....

Shameful.

Samraves · 05/10/2010 16:43

When someone is kind to me - I was bawling my eyes out when the nurses at the hospital were so kind, and I just couldn't stop. I felt mortified when I then had to go and sit back in the waiting room for the consultant with red eyes and still sniffing!

stainesmassif · 05/10/2010 16:44

I cried only last week at celebrity family fortunes.

Woman swimmer was on (cheese brain prevents me from remembering her name) and there was some silly vt of her family background Including a 2 second shot of her dad wearing her Olympic medals. 'oh, sniff, they must be so proud sob, sob.

stainesmassif · 05/10/2010 17:08

Oh. And last night reading the cat in the hat with ds. My voice kept breaking. No idea what got to me then!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 05/10/2010 17:33

Oh and the ending of The Snail and the Whale always chokes me up....

Kittykatzen · 05/10/2010 17:58

District 9 - at the little alien child and over how oppressed the alien race were. And regularly at "The Circle of Life" from The Lion King.

laurenamium · 05/10/2010 18:04

lol at kitty and showofhands I cried because sainsburies didnt have any babybels, and because a bird pooed on the outside of the upstairs window and it was a whole week before the window cleaner was due to come back...I think I cried more than once at the bird poo actually

cowboylover · 05/10/2010 18:21

Because there was no rotisary chicken in Asda!

I cryed my eyes out and DH could not control me at all! I got looked at like a crazy lady. Even DH offering to cook my a chicken did not make me feel better and he cant even cook but was willing to learn just to shut me up.

I only realised how crazy I was being when I heard him on the phone to his mum saying he had has his first pregnant wife moment! Im only 11 weeks so go knows whats coming next.

sam26oscar · 05/10/2010 19:57

when i go in and check on DS1 when he's all asleep and warm, sets me off thinking how much i love him!!

StarflowerGirl · 05/10/2010 21:22

So far I've sobbed at:

The movie Up! Hubby had to come and give me a cuddle because I was sobbing my heart out.

The Deaf/Blind children's charity ad.

The Oxfam Pakistan floods ad where that poor woman's baby was swept away.

The Tetley Tea advert. I'm completely bemused by this one!

Sir Norman Wisdom's death. I came downstairs in buckets of tears after I'd read it on the news. Poor hubby thought something was dreadfully wrong.

I'm only 5 weeks so I dread to think how bad I'll be later on!

MrsLouD · 05/10/2010 21:28

I sneezed the other day and burst into tears Blush

HumphreyCobbler · 05/10/2010 21:32

I cried because DH bought parma ham in the supermarket and I couldn't eat it. They were tears of rage though, I was really annoyed with him.

Mammie81 · 05/10/2010 21:43

I cried today because I suddenly (for no reason at all) thought of a kind old man who had bought me candy floss after I lost my money on a Girls Brigade trip to the zoo.

Sarahlou8 · 05/10/2010 21:48

I cried at Saturdays X factor and I cried at tonights Holby when the girl with the heart condition lost her baby.

flowerfairy · 05/10/2010 22:15

I cried at UP too Starflowergirl-huge big sobs.

The other day i cried because i couldn't find any maternity clothes that i liked-and have lost/misplaced old maternity clothes from 7yrs ago.

Last week i almost cried reading the sory of the lion and the unicorn to the kids at school-it was abit when the mum waves goodbye to her son who is being evacuated. REally had to control my voice and quivering lip!

And numerous other times at adverts or the ends of programmes

oggybags · 05/10/2010 22:29

I cried when visitors were on their way round and I couldn't decide what to do with the wet washing hanging on drying racks in the spare room! My partner was very sweet and gave me a big hug, but I'm sure he thought I was being totally bizarre...

Honeybee79 · 06/10/2010 09:28

I cried because I couldn't find any flip flops to buy for my hospital bag.

I also cried at a story in the metro a couple of months ago about a monkey "adopting" a kitten. There were just all these lovely pics of the monkey carrying the little kitten everywhere and protecting it with leaves. Nuts, I know.

Damn hormones.
