Am 12 weeks on Friday and am so bloody fed up. I need to see a light at the end of this tunnel!

with DS it stopped at about 14 wks. I remember everyone said it would stop at 12 wks and getting really really upset when it didn't.
Feeling HUGELY nauseous with this pg but not actually vommed yet.
You have my sympathies, it's horrific, isn't it?

TotorosOcarina · 05/10/2010 10:16

It is,

I'm not holding out much hope as it went on for a long time with my others but am praying that this time it stops around 12-14 weeks.

Around 30 weeks, then it started again at 36 weeks.

Sorry!

But I can fully appreciate being fed up of people telling you it will end by 12-14 weeks. Would you like to employ me to slap people whilst you delicately vom into the nearest bin?

Maclaren · 05/10/2010 10:30

I am 37 weeks today and was sick this morning! have been on and off all pregnancy if I smell something bad or see something gross then I am usually sick!

TotorosOcarina · 05/10/2010 10:43

Yes please Yank, I can only pay you in biscuits though Grin

Thats what I'm fearing, 30 weeks, urgh.

16 weeks for me. Used to throw up every morning and evening. Slowed up by 15 weeks and stopped altogether a week later. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

soppypreggyloon · 05/10/2010 10:49

fine by 20 weeks first time.

this time i'm upto 11ish weeks and off work today.
bleurgh!

makes a massive difference this time if i get to sleep properly or if ds keeps me up all night!

Julezboo · 05/10/2010 11:08

Im 21 weeks and still being sick! Sorry!

Its awful, drags you down and makes you feel very low! But once baby starts kicking that helps it seem worth while!

YanknCock · 05/10/2010 11:39

I will accept payment in biscuits as long as they're not ginger. As an added service, I can also provide handbag-to-the-head retraining to anyone who asks 'have you tried ginger?'

DS is 13 months and I'm still pissed off about that particular phrase.

Bobby99 · 05/10/2010 11:44

I felt dreadful until about 12 weeks - very nauseous every day, especially in the evenings which made sleeping impossible. I found that forcing something bland down did actually ease the sickness but only for an hour or so. Ginger didn't help. Then felt great until the last couple of months when the heartburn and a bad back took over.

It does pass, sooner or later, and it's absolutely worth it in the end .

Rocklover · 05/10/2010 11:46

Haven't puked, but still feeling sick most of the time and I'm 23 weeks. I have turned into a virtual recluse and my diet is shockingly awful (so much for improving my iron count).

It is highly shite and I feel sorry for all of us poorly pregnant ladies.

YanknCock · 05/10/2010 11:59

Rocklover, if it is any consolation, I survived Kraft mac & cheese (the horrible orange American stuff) and other assorted fake cheese products. I don't think I touched fruit or veg for at least 8 of the 9 months.

McVities digestives are supposed to be a good source of iron. One of my NCT friends was told to have one every day by her midwife.

Julezboo · 05/10/2010 12:04

Ohh that phrase "have you tried ginger?" makes you want to punch them in the face hard doesnt it!

Rocklover - my diet is shocking too, I am trying to get veg down me. I cant stomach a lot of meat either at the moment.

Yankncock - I am going to go the shop now and get some dairylea cheese triangles. I just have to have them now you have mentioned fake cheese lol!

MrsLouD · 05/10/2010 12:07

Really bad lost 1.5 stone until 16 weeks, now get the occasional day! I lived off mini cheddars!

FerrisBueller · 05/10/2010 12:11

about an hour after DD2 was born. sorry.

i also get violent at the thought of ginger and heave when smelling it 12 years later.

i was a bit extreme though. hope you feel better soon

Sarahlou8 · 05/10/2010 12:33

16 weeks, and it stopped fairly abrubtly.
Evening sickness here - and it was wonnnderful to be able to eat an evening meal again!!

PaigeTurner · 05/10/2010 13:02

Eased off around 18 weeks, gone by 20. I was pulling my hair out by then, wanting it gone!

Rocklover · 05/10/2010 13:14

I detest ginger (even when not pregnant) and the thought of trying to force any ginger based products down when I feel sick is just horrific.

My eyes just glaze over and I switch off when anyone asks if I've tried ginger. I mean do they think that being pregnant with DC2 I have never heard of that remedy? Hmm
