I'm really dizzy

About 10 weeks pregnant & I'm feeling really dizzy - been like this for about a week now but it's worse the last few days. I've not fainted or anything, but even now sitting at my desk my brain feels all woozy like its wobbling around.

I can type, standing up I take it slow - I've not actually fainted or anything - yet. Feel like it may be possible if I stood up too fast or something.

My BP has always been totally fine - I have booking appointment next week. I didn't have any dizziness when pg with DD.

Is this in the realm of 'normal'?

Yes it is I'm afraid. Something to do with increase in blood volume so your arteries get bigger... This decreases your blood pressure. This is supposed to happen, so don't worry. Just take it easy.. Don't get up too quick. Make sure you eat and drink enough... It does ease up.. Promise! X

yes think its normal, im 8 weeks and feel dizzy for most of the day on and off, especially in the morning when im so dizzy i have to sit down on the stairs for a few minutes, my blood pressure is also fine.

another of the joys of pregnancy :D

Are you drinking enough? When this has happened to me, because of bp dropping, the midwives have always insisted that I drink more.

fab - very reassuring, thank you all!

I guess it does make sense & one of the movie cliches of early pregnancy is dizziness/faining too isn't it?

I'll drink more - good point. I've had dreadful heartburn (already) so I am switching to eating lots of snacks through the day rather than 3 meals so that might help too.

I have been feeling dizzy all the way through and I am now 32 weeks, but most people just have a few dizzy spells as your body gets used to pumping extra blood around.

There isn't much you can do, but make sure you are eating and drinking enough - and one consultant told me to make sure I had a coffee as that could help increase my blood pressure. I have just had another appointment at the antenatal clinic, and have been prescribed some Nora Batty support stockings! Lol - I am going to be such a glamour puss!

Hope your dizziness passes soon
